This is the kind of price plan that I'm after - what did you say to keep the STC? I wonder if I rang and said "a friend" had been allowed to keep STC they would reconsider?

From what I've been told STC is no longer available.

I was given a 1000 Vodafone to land-line minutes monthly add-on for free instead. That was 18 months ago.

I got another PAC code (my 3rd time) today and immediately they offered some deals, then I got a call from retentions. No idea why they didnt' call in the past! The retentions person was surprisingly helpful.

I decided to take a deal! Very good I think!

Samsung Galaxy S2 FREE and Unlocked
    21 per month x 24 months
    600 minutes of calls
    1gb Data
100 mms messages (I won't use them ever)
    Unlimited texts
2gb Wifi (I think wth BT Openzone)
    Included Vodafone Passport

...maybe you should ask for the above and save yourself a fiver a month!

The one I was offered was a 24-month contract and yes I agree the above does sound like an excellent deal. Again, should I just say outright that a "friend" was given this contract or try to negotiate using similar deals from other networks?
  • Good to hear pps are getting offered something. I got !!!!!! all on 2 contracts and have ditched vf altogether. Was paying £25-30 on each and just wanted a samsung s2 on similar amount but told no can do.

    Vodafone now have it - http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/mobile-phone/samsung-galaxy-note .

    It's pricey on there site, but via outbound retentions I reckon it should be mine for free and £26 a month x 24 - I'm basing that on the fact that the Nexus is MORE than the Note (on some tariffs) on the Voda site, and that another forum user has reported that they ended up with;

    Samsung Galaxy Nexus Free
    600 mins
    UL texts
    1Gb Mobile Data
    2Gb WiFi
    £26/month x24

(The above was from outbound retentions after the PAC had been requested.)

I'll get onto them tomorrow and see what they say. I reckon it'll be a PAC request job, and then getting a call back from outbound retentions. I'll keep you posted.

    Hi...

I just got off the phone from Voda.

    The best they could do was;

    FREE Galaxy Note
    600mins
    Unlimited texts
    1GB 3G
    2GB wifi

...for £31 a month x 24, which is too much money for me.

So PAC requested and now all I can do is wait and see if outbound retentions call me and offer me the same for £26 x 24.

I've been with Vodafone for over a decade. I don't want to leave them and have to change networks. Here's hoping a satisfactory conclusion is reached.

    I'll keep you posted.

    I was offered the following:

    Samsung Galaxy S2/Note
    300 minutes
    Unlimited texts
    500MB data
    2GB Openzone
    £25 x 18 month (=£450 total)

I'm on a ~£10/month contract at the moment, so jumping to £25 feels like a big shock...also I don't really need 300 minutes. 100 would be fine.

    Has anyone any thoughts?

    Thanks,

(ADMINS - I'm posting this in 2 different threads because it is relevant to both threads)

    Hi...

I got a call from Vodafone Outbound Retentions this morning.

    Ended up being offered, and accepting, the following;

    FREE Samsung Galaxy Note
    300 mins
    Unlimited texts
    750mb 3G
    2gb WiFi

    ...all for £26 (reduced from £34) a month x 24 months.

I am oh so very pleased :)

The handsets are currently out of stock, so I'm going to have to wait for a week or 2, which while not ideal, I can live with.

The only thing that made me slightly nervous is that the deal, for 'pre ordering purposes' is listed at £56 a month on my account per handset, but the guy I spoke with assured me this was a ruse purely for pre ordering. The actual cost to me will be £26 a month per handset (I have 2 handsets on the same contract), for 24 months. He reminded me that all calls are recorded, and in the unlikely event of a dispute, it would be quickly rectified.

So, now all I have to do is wait until my new toy is delivered.

    I'll keep you posted.
