Vodafone Retention Deals

Yes and the text message thankfully.
If not then am off to Orange for lovely friends and family discount code. So either way I am not paying the exorbitant rates I used to.
Hmmm... I am still v doubtful? Are the handsets free, or are they charging you a hefty price for them?
The sums just don't add up, they are losing money. So surely there must be a catch ?
Any chance of cut and pasting the email confirming this offer (after removing any identifying/personal information of course) ?
I am overdue an upgrade. The info of your offer (if honoured) is so valuable to all the guys reading this thread.
TIA,

I am reading this thread with great interest, and it is a comfort to know that other people are finding doing battle with Vodafone frustrating and difficult. I thought it was just me!
It winds me up that you have to jump through hoops and more to get what they deem to be a good deal, surely if you are a customer with them they should just offer you a deal in the first place??!?!?
The thing that has really annoyed me the most is the fact that my upgrade date seems to change on a daily basis, depending on who I speak to. I was wondering if anyone else had had the same problem? One day it is 90 days before contract end, then 70, then 50, then 70 if you do it by phone, but 50 if you go in store... Can I get a strainght answer from anyone? No. The only thing that is stopping me from leaving now is the contract cancellation fee...0 -

Ermmmm....no. Just send a message to their ukdeals twitter team asking them to call you back. Believe me, the deal they offer will not be bettered by anyone else in Vodafone. Trust me

So, I should sign up to twitter to get the best deal?
I feel the urge to lie down in a dark room. Is it me or is it all geting silly? Twitter/Facebook et al.0 -

Well, like yourself i don't have a facebook/twitter account, but used someone else's twitter account to get in touch with Vodafone retentions...i agree, seems silly but at least you know that you're being offered the best deal. You can either moan on these forums that Vodafone aren't offering you a good deal or get in touch with their retentions team on twitter to save a few bob;)0 -
I don't see how this is not the same "jumping through hoops" that you said was not the case.0

RE Upgrade via Twitter;
Vodafone UK Deals @VodafoneUKdeals (Twitter)
@Googs76 We've standardised our upgrades across all our channels, email me & we'll take a look at your options: goo.gl/d3gbn ^PE
So, it looks like that is now not the case (if it ever was).

I have screendumped the email......
I didnt include insurance as that was optional I can take off at any point.
The reason why I suppose I get it free is down to the fact I have spent in excess of 1200 quid over the least 8 months or so. In addition the phones are used heavily ofr chargeable calls.
Bills for the two lines were averaging 250 a month. I have another 2 lines but they are so low use it isn't even worth mentioning.0 -

Spending that much monthly go's a long way to explain the deal you were given. Congrats.
I spoke to upgrades and the offers they made were laughably crap.
The guy I spoke with said he has friends in outbound retentions and someone from there would call be back. That was 2 days ago so that lead isn't looking good.
Im going to phone back next week and request PAC's, I hope that motivates a good deal.
I'll let you know how I get along.

I got another PAC code (my 3rd time) today and immediately they offered some deals, then I got a call from retentions. No idea why they didnt' call in the past! The retentions person was surprisingly helpful.
I decided to take a deal! Very good I think!

600 minutes of calls
1gb Data
100 mms messages (I won't use them ever)
