Vodafone Retention Deals

I am now out of contract on 2 pay monthly contracts and am eligible for upgrades, but there aren't any new phones which Vodafone stock which are getting my pulse racing.
The only model which looks interesting to me is the Samsung Galaxy Note, but Vodafone have chosen not to stock it?!?
Hoping they do stock it soon at a competitive price... if they don't I'll have to switch networks.

I've been offered
Free Galaxy Nexus
600mins
Unlimited texts
500mb internet
2gb BT openzone
£36/month
I think it's actually a pretty good deal to be honest but I don't want to spend that much every month. Happy to have the Galaxy S2 but it's basically the same price. One thing I don't understand is why there is such a price difference between the S2 & Nexus as a new customer but not when I'm renewing? I was hoping to get the S2 for <£30/month with a free handset but no luck.0 -

People anyone managed to get a sim only deal for a iphone 4??, currently on £46 a month for 900 mins, 1mb data, unltd txt.
I WANT to reduce the bill and get more minutes, min 1200 or above but keep txt and 1mb data, possible??? and also curently due for upgrade
Until recently i was paying £15.50 pm for a sim only plan for 900 x-network mins, 1GB data & unlimited texts for my iphone 4S however i have just upgraded this to 1200 mins for £20.50. When calling them up at first DO NOT mention that you need an iphone 4 sim only plan, just say you only need a sim only plan (which they will assume its for a bog standard phone), only after you have agreed to a deal should you then ask for a micro sim - if they refuse, then simply accept the standard sim and cut it up into a micro sim size and Robert's your mother's brother0 -

Result!
Mobile contract was due to renew on 13th Feb. Was on 300m, unlimited texts and 500mb data.
So called up Vodafone and they offered 600m, unlimited texts, 500gb data plus 750mb BT Open Wi-Fi for £10.25 on a 12 month Sim-Only deal (Half price for 12 months, normally £20.50). Very happy with that!
Then today received confirmation of the upgrade through the email and it showed an additional extra 1GB BT Open Wi-Fi. Called Vodafone to confirm that I do indeed have essentially 1.75GB of Free BT Wi-Fi and they confirmed! I had to call Vodafone and double check but indeed they have added this extra without charge.
It's been a good month as not only did I get the above deal, but my 3gs, which was nearly 2 years old died 2 weeks ago - took it to the apple store and they confirmed the battery was dead and replaced my phone with a spanking new 3gs (albeit refurbished but as new) for a paltry £55 (which I was more than happy to pay!).
Although refurbished, it's unlocked (unlike my old 3gs) and had a brand new battery, front and rear cover in as new condition with 90 days warranty.
So I have a new 3gs, on a £10.25 a month deal and 1.75gb of free Wifi! Result!
Well done Vodafone and well done Apple!0 -
After about 2 months of brinkmanship, I finally got a decent deal from Vodafone (I did want to stay, but not with their poor retention offers on the Nexus)
Samsung Galaxy Nexus Free
600 mins
UL texts
1Gb Mobile Data
2Gb WiFi
£26/month0 -

I assume this is a 24 and not an 18 month contract?

I think you did well there...
Just did a cursory glance of the web and the best I could find was £26.48 after cash back on a £31 contract?
What was your strategy with Vodafone - did you show them another deal the same type offer from another provider and they matched it?... or what?
Please share
TIA,

The original offers I had from Customer Service, Retentions and Outgoing Retentions were poor. I even took to contacting the Web Retentions/Twitter team because I was convinced they must have something better.
Eventually after getting my PAC for the 2nd time, I got a call from Outgoing Retentions, who were able to offer this deal. It's a £31/month deal with 500Mb Mobile Internet, an extra £5/month for additional 500Mb and then a £10/month discount.
For me the important element was the 1Gb Mobile Data, the rest of the tariff was peripheral, as long as the total contract cost was around the £650 mark.0
