  • Still trying to sort out a new contract and need it ASAP - my current phone is on its last legs. I requested a PAC code from VF last Friday for the second time and almost a week on I haven't had that all important call from Retentions. Any advice on what I should do?

You need to get in touch with outbound retentions but they don't accept incoming calls. Twitter the Vodafone UK deals team here or post a message here on the VF forum (both have the same team) and they'll call you back within a day or two :)

Thanks to everyone on here who suggested the twitter team. Have got an upgrade deal for Galaxy S2 that I'm very happy with. If you read this forum thanks to Ian on the Vodafone twitter team.

Sorry got Samsung Galaxy S2 free, 600 minutes, unlimited texts, 500mb data and 500mb BT openzone for £26.00 a month. (24 months)
Please don't burst my bubble by telling me its a rubbish deal :)

Hey, just thought I'd share the deal I managed to get with Vodafone Twitter team. My upgrade date changed from early March to April 20th but they said they would honour it and after debating whether to go for the Galaxy S2 or try for the HTC One X I finally settled for-

    Free White HTC One X
    600 mins
    Unlimited texts
    1gb internet
    Vodafone passport
    £26 for 24 months.

Not too shabby a deal I think.

Has anyone else noticed their upgrade date changing? I had thought my upgrade date was around May/June, but when I looked at my online account recently it said October. After contacting them they said that as I upgraded in October last year which was the earliest I could upgrade, my contract actually began in December (when my contract was originally due to expire). However, I could swear that the date changed suggesting that their policy has recently changed. I've been with Vodafone for years and years, and this seems to be a new thing....
    Savings target: £25000/£25000

Think they have changed it to 50days before your contract date.

Think it used to be 70days

    Hi yes,

VF have changed thier upgrade period.

I can upgrade as of today, 30 days before my contract ends.

I get poor signal with VF however at work and where I currently live so rang them up to give my 30 days notice (which I have also put it writing via email as requested). I thought they may try tempt me to stay having been with them for 6+ years but no, nothing!

Am out of contract and just been offered the following by retentions. To tell you the truth it doesn't seem anything special.

    HTC One X (grey)
600 minutes (I do use them but rarely go over)
    Unl;imited texts
    1GB internet
    Usual BT Openworld offer

    24 months contract.

    £30.99 pcm

Now that is exactly the same contract (less the BT bit) that I have been on for two years with a Desire, so isn't exactly fighting to keep me.

    Any views on this offer?
