Afternoon all, just had to share my excellent experience with Vodafone.

I've been with Vodafone for just over 10 years, and was coming up to my upgrade date. I requested my PAC code, with the intention of changing to a SIM only deal, keeping my iPhone 4 and number. I am on a DMP so was tempted by the lower prices.

I have just got off the phone with Vodafone. They have offered to switch me to a sim-only deal from midnight tonight. For the first 12 months it is going to cost me £10.25 a month including VAT. This is a special offer of halfprice due to the time I have been with them.

I am absolutely amazed. I was paying £35 a month. This is an excellent saving, and I am now singing the praises of Vodafone! If you have been with a phone company for a long time like me, I urge you to request a PAC to see if you can get a good deal. You won't be fixed in to changing mobile phone providers.

My son is on a Voda SIM only deal - sounds a similar price - but is leaving for Orange due to being fed up with hidden extras being charged.

Ah my wife is on that deal as well. She got it just before Christmas. She got 1Gb of data though and a £10 credit but she also has our two kids on there as additional lines, so thats why she probably got a little extra.

    Hi AR,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Whilst it's disappointing to hear that you feel that your relationship with us has come to an end I'll try to locate your details from the reference you've quoted and get back to you as soon as I can.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Lee,

Many thanks for contacting me, and letting me know that the problem with our communication was down to an error.

However, your colleague Kay did contact me, but unfortunately the deal on offer now, wasn't the same or as good as previous.

Thanks for your attempt anyway, and all the best.

    Regards,
    AR.

1 phone was due for renewal got my PAC number and received a call from their outbound retentions team.

Anyway came away with what I thought was a cracking deal and two additional lines

    Blackberry Curve 9360 x 2

    300 Mins
    Unlimited Texts
    500Mb Data
    24 Months Contract

    £10.25 pm (for each handset).

    Blackberry Bold 9790

    300 Mins
    Unlimited Texts
    500Mb Date
    24 Month Contract

    £10.25 pm

One of the handsets is for a relative who doesn't use the phone much beyond texting and BBM so upgrades aren't important as for the other two, will be used as second lines, so the contract length for me isn't too important.

I am doing well out of Vodafone. Gotta say the guy who sorted it all out was more than helpful, gave me his email should I have any further queries.

Takes my line count upto 5 now.....I have another 2 due for renewal soon on another network see how well this goes Vodafone might be gaining more business.

Just upgraded - had 2 phones on the account.

Got iphone 4s - on standard £36 tariff, 600mins, 1gb data and free phone.

Managed to get Samsung galaxy s3, £31 tariff, 600mins, 1gb data and free vodafone to vodafone calls. Free phone again.

Was hoping for better, but as they're new phones there doesn't seem to be good deals going on them. Both on 24month contracts.
