Vodafone Retention Deals

Just upgraded - had 2 phones on the account.
Got iphone 4s - on standard £36 tariff, 600mins, 1gb data and free phone.
Managed to get Samsung galaxy s3, £31 tariff, 600mins, 1gb data and free vodafone to vodafone calls. Free phone again.
Was hoping for better, but as they're new phones there doesn't seem to be good deals going on them. Both on 24month contracts.
From experience retentions never seem to have good deals on the brand new phone just out.0 -
Finally got around to speaking with Vodafone online (twitter) team who have in the past been able to offer some very good deals, but unfortunately they weren't able to offer me anything vaguely interesting.
I was only looking for the Wildfire S (as want a small phone) but they insisted that £15 a month was the best they could offer. I mentioned that Tescomobile are doing the phone for £10 a month, along with many others, but they weren't interested one bit.
PAC code requested, now time to say goodbye to Vodafone.0 -
Very happy with Vodafone. Could upgrade today so rang through to 'I'm thinking of leaving'.
Agreed on the following-
iPhone 4s 16gb
12 month contract
600 mins
Unlimited texts
1gb Data
Unlimited Voda to Voda calls
Free Delivery
£41/month less 10% student discount = £36.90/month
£279 upfront for the handset - £110 trade in = £169
Taking into account the cost of the handset from Apple I am effectively paying £11.28/month for the service to Vodafone which I am pleased with. Didn't want to be tied into a contract more than 12 months. All done in one phone call :T0 -
Need your help guys. I have been offered £22 a month for HTC one X with 600 min + 1gb data. The minimum I have been offered for S3 is £31 per month + 2 gb data. Both are 24 month contracts.
Do you think its worth paying £9 extra per month for S3? I really do not need more than 300 min per month.0 -
Just requested my PAC code.
I wasn't happy at the price increases the forced on all their customers a couple of months ago And told them that, whatever the deal they offered, I wasn't happy that according to their T&C's they can increase prices by up to 10% and there's nothing you can do about it.
So long and off to a month long contract I goSpace for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0 -
Hello. I am new here! You are all so knowlegeable. Is it better to wait till the S3 comes out for better deals on a vodafone upgrade?
I went through to cancellations and got a pac code but they are only offering same deal as online £36 but with free phone instead of £29 contribution.
I'm not sure whether to actually change to Orange via "Phones 4 You" and pay £30 for rest of existing vodafone contract in order to get better deal of 600 minutes, loads of texts, 750gb, free 32gb memory card and case. The offer runs out tomorrow.
So confused. Should I go for it, or wait for a few weeks, pay nothing for end of existing contract but risk getting no extras and crap deal. Help please?!0 -
Cancellations won't offer you a better deal than the online prices. You need to wait for the retentions department to contact you and try to get a better deal out of them.0

Thanks, yes, i understand. But the phones 4 u offer runs out tomorrow. They might not call before then, right? That's why I'm so confused... I'm worried that if I wait, they a) might not call b) might not offer as good a deal as phones 4 u by which time, the p4u offer will be over.0

I'm sure there'll be deals on the S3 for the foreseeable future.
Mobiles.co.uk are offering, through T-Mobile, the S3, 300 Mins, 750 GB and Unlimited texts for £26 a month which is pretty good.
Plus there is no gaurantee that retentions will offer you a better deal anyway so if you've found a deal you like just go for it.0 -
Thank you! I will go check that out now. Hadn't heard of mobiles.co.uk before. x0
