Vodafone Retention Deals
Comments

I usually phone upgrades when they fail I go to cancellation who will offer you near the same deal.
Reject it and get your pac code and next few days retention will contact you where you can do a real haggle.0 -
I didnt even try upgrades.
I just used Live Chat to give my 30 days notice.
Retentions rang. Offered me a deal. I told them I would think about it. They rang back offering lower deal. Cant complain.0 -

HI, thanks for your reply.
But I am still interested to know why Vodafone reps have STOPPED replying to posts put on this forum.
If they are not responding to these posts, is it worth putting them on here.
Hoping a Vodafone rep replies too this.
Thanks.0 -

I thought the main advantage is for us to discuss what deals we have all been offered by the retentions department rather than for Vodafone to come on and here directly.0 -
It also used to be a way of contacting reps from Vodafone further down the line, rather than 1st base sales. Otherwise why bother having a WRT section.??
Have you tried phoning vodafone up, and telling them that, " a " has been given this, and I want it, or that " b " has been given that, and I want it.
In fact have you ever tried phoning up retentions, coz you just can't get through to them, you can't get passed 1st base to talk to either 2nd or 3rd base.
Because people may put their deals on here, doesn't mean that we will all get them.
Yes it may help us to make comparisons, but I would have hoped that the WRT were still monitoring this forum, so that we could see that they are still taking an interest, and care in " us " their customers.
I spoke to a vodafone rep in February, and told him that Tesco were offering the Samsung Galaxy S 2 for £25.00 on a monthly contract.
His reply was, " thats a fantastic offer, if I were you I'd take it".
To be honest, I don't think " he " was interested, but I always felt that if the WRT could be bothered to reply in this forum, then it showed an interest in our problems.
Which brings me back to my main query, are there any reps from the WRT that are still interested in our comments on this forum.
Thanks, AR0 -
Hi vernumamy,
Rest assured that we are very much still an active presence on MSE.
In regard to sales related posts I'm afraid we're unable to intervene as we are obliged to adhere to MSE's guidelines for company representatives unless of course we are explicitly asked to help as you have here.
As such, and in order for us to assist you further, could you email us with your details via the Contact us form here quoting the code WRT135 - MSE Fao Lee in the subject line?
Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. To ensure that it reaches us could you update the thread with this and we'll get back to you as soon as possible?
Kind regards,
Lee

Ye it was the HTC one X phone. THe text I got form Mike said £37 on my next bill (for the phone).
24 month contract, 600mins, unlimited text, 1 gb data, wifi and vodaphone passport for £18.33 + vat = £22 and additional £4.95 for del.
I did not phone them I simply asked for my Pac code when I was offered £31 a month for the above as I saw on Mobile.co.uk a deal for voda 500min, tedxdt and 500mb of data for £25.
Retention phoned me the next day asking why I was leaving and he simply made me the offer of £25 and I asked if it could get lower like £22 and we agreed on the phone costing £37 pounds.
Definitely a good offer for you and way better than the one I received, as I have said.
I had my PAC code generated last week and, as I haven't been called back, I think I can safely assume they no longer want my custom.0 -

Many thanks for your reply, and its nice to know that you still monitor these posts.
As requested, here is the reference number Vodafone sent me, 8976907.
I have done as you suggested and e-mailed you about my circumstances.
As you will see, I was offered two new contracts and I accepted them both.
One was a 24 month deal with new handset, and the other was a sim only for my wife.
But, so that I don't waste anymore of your time, I am letting you know, that just after receiving your post, I was contacted by Vodafone, who offered me the first deal again, however they told me that they could not offer the sim only deal again, as it was offered by a different department, and only that department could offer it.
I decided that it was not worth accepting, without the sim only offer as well.
If you feel that it maybe worthwhile pursuing, then please feel free to contact me.
Again, many thanks for your time.

Hi Lee, again.
Just following up on my last post to you.
In response to your suggestion of contacting you personally, using WRT 135-MSE Fao Lee in the subject line.
As I told you in my previous post, I did as you requested.
So I hope you understand my dismay, in the fact that my e-mail was received by Vodafone customer services, but answered by Alpesh Makwana and not yourself.
I had hoped that by contacting you personally, the reply would have come back from you personally.
Anyway, from the reply sent to me from Alpesh Makwana in customer srevices, I now realise that the relationship I had with Vodafone, has now come to a definite end.
I know when its time to call it a day, and give my future two year contract business, to one of the other main players in the mobile phone industry.
So I will say thank you and cheerio, to yourself and vodafone.0 -
Hi AR,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Whilst it's disappointing to hear that you feel that your relationship with us has come to an end I'll try to locate your details from the reference you've quoted and get back to you as soon as I can.
Kind regards,
Lee
