Just had another call now up to

    12 Month sim only deal
    600 minutes
    Unlimited texts
    1 GB of data
    100 picture messages
    bt openzone wifi

    £10.25 per month inc vat

Seems like a better deal than the GiffGaff £10 box , 250 mins, unltd texts and unltd internet, apart from 12 month contract...........

Having read some of the Voda complaints it seems i should get this in writing first!!!!

Any idea if the 1GB of data will allow you to use tethering for the iPhone as new contracts are supposed to include that?

What number do I need to phone - just in the last month now of my SIM only deal.

That's a really good deal, what did you say to get it? I've only got 3 weeks left on my contract and called last night. Asking for the GS2 and the best they could do was that same contract you've got, but over 24 months. I said no of course.
  • I think you need to dial 191 on your vodafone handset.

Do not know the answer about tethering, but rang 191 and selected leaving from menu and asked for my pac code, offered me nothing to stay, then a couple of hours later i got a call from retentions and eventually got the deal i posted.....cheers

  • I have been looking at this forum with great interest recently as I have just entered the last month of my contract. I am very pleased to say I have been offered the Iphone4S 16GB on the folowing terms:

    24 month
1200 mins (will never use this many)
    Unlimited texts
    750mb internet
NO INITIAL FEE FOR THE PHONE

All for £36.80 a month!!! Get in there!!!

Needless to say I snapped there hands off and now have a white Iphone 4S winging its way to me! Thursday cannot come quick enough!!!

That's alright Dean but are you still going to be happy in a long 24 months time? We as consumers need to start saying no to these 24 month contracts. 18 months is more than long enough.

I've just missed a call from Vodafone retentions. Do they tend to call a few times?

Annoyingly for me, no. They tried 3 times in one day to get hold of me a few weeks ago, but haven't tried again since.

I agree, it's a shame the 12 month contract seems to be only a distant memory now... I resent signing for 18 months.

    Hi...

    I just got through to upgrades and was offered;

2x Samsung Galaxy S2's @ 2x £26 a month x 24 months, with a one off payment of (1x) £88 to cover the purchase cost of both handsets. (300mins, unlimited texts, 1/2 a gig og internet)

    I declined this offer.

My contracts end late February so I'll have to play the waiting game and try again nearer then, maybe requesting my PAC in the process.

The deal they offered me was awful and Dial a Phone can beat them handsomely. I was hoping to have a hassle free upgrade but it looks like jumping through hoops will be required again.

You'd think they'd treat customers of ten years plus fairly.

    Mark.
