Vodafone Retention Deals

Just had my call from retentions, my deal is:

Nokia Lumia
300 mins
Unlimited texts
500mb data
100 picture messages
24 month contract

£20.50 a month.

Possibly could have got more if I haggled but I'll never go over those figures so £20 sounds fair to me

Just to let you know about the Sensation XL.

From the reviews I've read, its a great phone apart from the screen, sure its big, but the resolution/clarity is disappointing apparently, which is a shame, 'cos the other specs are impressive. Just letting you know.

I assume you know that you can root a standard Sensation and boost the processor to 1.5gig, that's all the XE is, a rooted standard Sensation with posh head phones.

Im also considering the Samsung Galaxy S2 now, it's on par with the Sensation, and slightly cheaper I think. I saw one, and the HTC, in a shop....the build quality seems OK, but not as sturdy or tactile as the HTC, though once you put it in a case it would be fine.

I have recently been contacted by the Vodafone loyalty team who offered me a 2nd line in addition to my existing contract. I have been with Vodafone for over 4 years and am considering taking out the 2nd contract. I have been offered a discounted contract – normally £26.00 discounted to £20.50 and the Galaxy S II free of charge. I would like to go for it but as it is my 2nd contract I would not like to go over £18.00. There are a few deals out there which offer £17-£18 deals (can be found via MSE). I only need 300 ish minutes, 600txts and 500gb data.

Can you please let me know if you can come up with such deal?

I requested my PAC on Friday (contract ends 2nd of Jan) and told them I was going to tesco mobile, anyway I got a call from retentions today...

12 Month sim only deal
600 minutes
Unlimited texts
500MB of data
1GB Wifi
100 pic messages
Vodafone Passport

That's a very good price IMO, and the Galaxy S2 is a good handset... is it an 18 or 24 month contract???, if it's 18 bite there arm off.

Looks like i need to hold out, asked and received my pac today, followed by call later, offering

Definitely need to hold out. You can get slightly fewer minutes (250), but with unlim txts and unlim data with no contract for £10 on a Giff Gaff sim.

Seems like a better deal than the GiffGaff £10 box , 250 mins, unltd texts and unltd internet, apart from 12 month contract...........

Having read some of the Voda complaints it seems i should get this in writing first!!!!

The same deal I have been given, you should receive a txt message confirming the deal
