i think a concept phone is a good choice!0

That's alright Dean but are you still going to be happy in a long 24 months time? We as consumers need to start saying no to these 24 month contracts. 18 months is more than long enough.
I've just missed a call from Vodafone retentions. Do they tend to call a few times?
I know its a bit of a pain but I just finished the 24month with my 3GS Iphone and I cant say I was fed up by the end of it. I think it is important to find a phone you will be happy with as it is a big commitment. (I have been there before with Blackberrys/Siemens etc and I have ended up selling them sharpish)!
I also understand why there is no longer 12 month contracts because if you look at the cost of lets say an Iphone 4s to buy outright and compare it to a Nokia N95 when that was new and there is a difference in increased cost that the network has to cover.

I spoke to retentions and said T-mobile offered me a Galaxy S2 with the same spec as below for £22.50 per month. They offered me:
Galaxy S2 Black: Free
300 Minutes
Unlimited Texts
1GB Internet
18 Month Contract
£20.50 per month
Very happy!0 -

I have just rung them and said t-mobile had offered me this deal and they said there is no way they could do that, gave me my pac code and told me to give my 30 days notice:(
I have found a similiar deal though with the nokia lumia 800 which I was undecided about
300 mins
300 txts
unlimited internet
24 month contract
£20.24
Does that seem reasonable?
Wanted to stay with voda really have been with them for 13 years.0 -

The best deals from Vodafone usually come from retentions who phone you rather than you phone them. So wait and see if they call.
Either that or you can go here;

and either email them about what you would like or go onto Twitter.0 -
My contract is coming up for renewal and I have been offered
HTC Wildfire
300mins
Unlimited texts
30GB Download
500mb WiFi
100 picture messages
Passport
+ for the first 3months unlimited downloads.
Total Cost £20.50
This is the first of the new phones I have had so the only criteria I gave was a decent camera and picture messaging. Is this deal any good and is there a better phone with a camera at same sort of level.0 -
30GB download, are you sure or is this a typo?!?0

so... the offer they've made doesn't look fantastic.
Read back over the last few weeks of this thread and see what others have been offered and base your upgrade criteria on that...
this is what I would be asking for in your situation;I spoke to retentions and said T-mobile offered me a Galaxy S2 with the same spec as below for £22.50 per month. They offered me:

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is a much better handset.
