With a letter of complaint and refusing a 1st deal of Free Samsung Galaxy S2 900 mins talktime Unlimited texts and 500mb 1gb bt openzone for £31 a month with £5 discount for the first 21 months thought that was pretty poor. 2nd offer came today Free SGS2 900 mins Unlimited texts 750mb 2gb bt openzon for £41 a month with £15 discount for the full 24 months so paying £26 a month. Maybe could have pushed more but gave in.0

Rang last week to get my PAC code - I heard nothing until today, which wasn't the case 2 years ago when I did the same thing (they rang the next day, then each day after that to try and get hold of me).
Anyway, this is the deal I ended up agreeing to:
- Free Blackberry 9900 (returned item from customer unhappy with contract, so essentially brand new)
- 600 minutes
- Unlimited texts
- Unlimited internet
- 18 months
- £23 per month (haggled them down from £26)
Which I think is a cracking deal, probably because I've been with them for four years though.

With very little haggling have just got Samsung Galaxy S2 for free, 600 mins, unlimited texs, unlimited internet, unlimited BT openzone, vodafone passport for £26 per month
Great phone - I have one. But "unlimited internet" -- really? What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
Just to add to the thread - have been a loyal Vodafone customer for many years but just reached the final straw now.
Havent taken a phone off them in 2 years or more and early this year requested changing to a monthly SIM only rolling contract to try and save some cash to afford the new iPhone 4/4S. Salesperson was specifically asked if i could upgrade phone at any time - YES!
Tried to renew a monthly deal with added text and data, and told its too early in my 12MONTH SIM contract!!!! Mis-SOLD!!!
£55 fee for this early upgrade privilege; or requesting my PAC code gives £50-odd to pay up my term and cancel!!!
Customer rep was of no help, unsympathetic and in parts just down right rude and speaking over me and cutting me short.
I asked to speak with a manager. I was told it wouldnt help to do so and that i had been given all relevant information.
I asked to speak to Customer Complaints department and was told there wasnt one. Sooooo frustrating.
Cant believe they are turning away a good customer ready to pay for an iPhone 4S and £30+ a month subs.
Glad i'm now on the £10 minimum until i can change operator. Still shocked that my custom is held in such low regard!
My partner and i are now looking elsewhere for a deal..... Vodafone have lost two iPhone customers and
i will be absolutely sure to spread the word.

May be worth contacting the vodafone eforum team - best place to start is via @vodafoneuk or @vodafoneukdeals on twitter.
They a) tend to provide better quality responses than regular CS b) have more flexibility in offering upgrades - including early ones if you're on a 12m contract c) offering discounts
It does sound as if your main issue is the 12 month vs rolling contract - ask for the recording perhaps?
Ultimatel though consider an iPhone 4S is going to cost you a few hundred ££ and 30-40 a month over 2 years (at a guess - doesn't interest me), so at the end of the day whilst £50 is £50, it's a small proportion of your overall spend, so you may do just as well to take it on the chin ;-)What goes around - comes around

I requested a PAC and was about to go to three, then I got a call from the retentions department and they had what sounded like quite a good deal, but I explained I couldn't sign up there and then.
Now I'm able to do it, but there's no way to get back in touch with them, or get them to call me back - unless anyone knows a way?
I've tried requesting another PAC but that didn't work.
It seems a bit daft that Vodafone has the deal I want but is going to loose my business simply because I can't get in touch with a department in this "communications company"!0 -
all these people that have quoted that they have unlimited internet, i would double check your contract cause as far as i am aware vodafone do not do unlimited internet, but i would also recommend that when anyone is getting an upgrade not the time date and name of the person you talked to and exactly what they offered and they should be able to email you and text you confirmation as when i upgraded it to four attemps and 3 changes in the initial contract i was offered to finally not be lied to and get what was offered0

Thats exactly who I deal with, just upgraded to Iphone4s and if there was stock 4 weeks ago they were going to wipe the upgrade fee for me, I get the feeling that both teams on twitter do their best to get the best deals and do their best for you they are fab give them a go0 -

I downgraded my DD contract in June as she didn't want a new phone at the time so the web relations team offered me a 12 month sim only deal for £10 a month and I asked if she changed her mind and decided she wanted a phone over the course of the 12 months could she upgrade and was told yes, just email me.
DD is now thinking perhaps she would like a new phone for Xmas so once she's decided what she want I will email him and let you know how I get on. I'm not prepared to pay an upgrade fee but I'm not certain I want to take out a new contract with phone, it will depend what phone she wants. If I can get her to have the BB from Tesco (just handset on offer for £130) I can use my clubcard points to double up and buy it~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)
