Vodafone Retention Deals

Spoke to Vodafone again about half an hour ago! Marvin from Belfast customer service offered me this;
300 mins
Unlimited texts
250mb internet
500mb BT openzone
Vodafone family of 4
£9.00 / month for 12 months
Would of liked a bit more internet but as the VF family is usually £5/month I decided that I could live with 250mb! As I don't do facepage or stream loads of video I think it will be enough!
So I suggest if you are out of contract just keep trying, I had given my notice about a week ago and had my PAC code already. Perhaps it just depends on who you talk to and how the conversation goes what you get offered. Much respect to Marvin, he was very pleasant and helpful!0 -
Is this a good deal. went into phones4u for a upgrade today as my current deal expires in December and was offered;
600mins, unlimited text, 500mb data and free HTC Sensation, 24 month contract for £36 inc VAT with £100 cash back.
Can i get better than this and if so tell me how pls.0 -
Just extended my contract.
Didn't want a new phone.
900mins
3000texts
500MB data
£10/month for 12 month.
How did you go about getting that? My contract is up in a couple of months and this will be exactly what im after. Im currently getting this but at £40 so looking at going sim only once this contract ends.
Thanks0 -
Hi all,
I've been offered the online deal of 24 month, 600mins, Unltd texts and 500mb of data with a Desire s for £31p/m.
I really want to barter for 900mins but contract is not up until Nov. Is it worth calling upgrades/retentions?
Really need to get a new contract ASAP as current one doesn't have data on it! :beer:0 -
their deals definately getting worse i got offered a shocking deal on iphone 4. Even though i was loking to renew 2 contracts. Think they said 900 mins unltd texts, wifi and internet for £41 on two year contract.
Im looking at t mobile deals right now with cashback.0 -
Retention deal for me..
Samsung Galaxy S2
600m
Unlimited Texts
1gb internet
Free Phone
18 month contract
£26 per month
Had to take the insurance but I can cancel after 1 month.
The Talkmobile 12 mth contract works out the same cost but £99 for the phone and £30 per mth.
I think this is a good price.0 -

After much back and forthness to Vodafone and CPW, Vodafone basically told me that there deals were non-negotionable and I would be a fool not to take what CPW had to offer.
Not an amazing deal but got:-
HTC Desire S
900 Mins
Unlimited Texts
500MB data
£186 by redemption
£31 p/m for 24 months.
Vodafones closest offer was the same package but for £36 (No redemption cashback). Was very easty dealing with CPW, only downside was it took around 35 minutes to upgrade over the phone where as with Vodafone I could have just clicked 1 button on the upgrades page. Saying that, I have saved £306 by going through CPW so that call basically made me £8.74 per minute (and it was in work time so double bubble) :j0 -
wow
this isnt looking good for me then.
My contract ended on the 4th Sept and I had a quick look online at the offers available to me and most of the upgrades are wanting me to pay for a new handset or pay more a month. Surely the cost should go down at least?
I did have the Bold 9700 when it first came out about 2 years ago and it was free on £35 p/m with unlimted text/blackberry i'net and 600 mins. Bare in mind this was the highest spec BB at the time AND I was able to get it in the 'limted edition' white colour also....so, I had a look at the latest Bold, the newly released 9900, figuring at worst I'd get the free handset and maybe a couple of pounds off p/m. No chance. its only free to me if I pay £42 p/m yet its listed as 'free from £36' to new customers.
madness.
Will have to call them but am thinking about just jumping back to Orange. At least their signal's better for starter's and the retentions tend to go down instead of up :rotfl:
That said, does anyone know if I'm able to change my mind about the PUK once its been requested....on the odd occasion they offer me the phone I want on a reasonable deal, will I able able to cancel the PUK request?0 -

If you don't use the PAC, then it cancels itself after (I believe) 30 days.0 -

Do you mean your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code)?
If so, this expires after 30 days anyway. So if it's not used, your contract continues.0
