I also put my complaint to the web relations team and got a call from them yesterday, although he had a much better attitude than the retentions person there was nothing he could do for me. He did however pass my complaint to the retentions team manager and said if the manager can do something i'll get a call on Monday otherwise there is nothing they can do to get me a better deal.
If no call on Monday Im leaving vodafone!
**Edit**
What an absolute Joke..just been on dialaphone and the best deal vodafone can offer me after being with them for 10 yrs is a standard deal available to everyone on dialaphone through Vodafone!
HTC desire HD
600mins, unlmtd txts 18mnth contract at £30 p/month
This is the take it or leave us offer Vodafone have offered me, yet i could get this same offer through dial a phone with no cashback! With Vodafone!!0 -
Once you've got your PAC code, don't use it straight away, usually you'll get someone more flexible calling you up to try and retain you.0

i recieved a call from the retentions team "the more flexible ones" hes the one who offered me the £30 deal, when i refused he said check your fone, uve been sent your PAC, you're free to go. I gave it a few days to see if they'd give me another call but they didnt. I overestimated their care and loyalty for longterm customers in thinking they'd call again. How wrong was I...0

thats true i had that once too.
Vodafone seem to change year to year some times they do good deals like when I last upgraded I got a pretty good deal without any bartering then a few years before that they gave me a crap phone crap deal and I even had to pay the £4.99 delivery fee for the phone. Hopefully this time they will be as good as last time.0 -
Any response?
well.... in my first post on the eforum I did advise I was a business customer.
then, after answering the queries in their email in response to my post (basically advising of the issues I've had with this upgrade) I was advised that as a business customer they couldn't access my account but had passed my query to the business relations team.
back to square one but we'll see how it goes0 -
Called for my PAC today - wasn't expecting anything so wasn't disappointed
I'm considering switching to the £10 PAYG tariff until either the Samsung Galaxy S 2 is out or the iPhone 5 - most likely the former as differing reports say it will be out in either early March or early April and presumably won't be as expensive as Apple's offering.
What is the chance of getting a good retention offer on a new phone? I'm determined not to accept anything else apart from the Galaxy S 2 or possibly an iPhone 4, so not as flexible as others on here. Also, what is the chance of getting a good retention offer after being on PAYG for 2-3 months? I've paid £35 a month minimum for the last 4 years for my contract and £30 a year for the 2 years before.0 -
I also called for my PAC yesterday, not a big spender these days (planning on shifting out to a cheaper PAYG/30 day deal) so not expecting any deals to be offered, but will keep the thread updated if anything does happen.0

I called for my pac and received a letter with the PAC, I also received a number of calls, when I finally took one the bloke asked why I was leaving, I told him of the Tesco £10 sim offer of 500 minutes, unlimited text and internet, he said "hope your happy with it" and hung up, so yes changing to the tesco sim, vodafone were not even interested in offering anything.0 -
Well eventually business called back today. Wouldn't move from desire (not HD) with 300 mins, ul text and 500 mb data for £20.00 per month.
I asked if they could call back in an hour- wife has other mobile on account and I wanted to speak to her before committing.
rep calls back - wife answers. She advises she was really looking fr the HD.
as soon as she says this she's advised "you'll never get a desire HD from vodafone" and was then advised "we're removing the offer of the desire too, would you like to discuss other phones?". taken aback by this my wife advised that we will wait until our current contract has expired and will then get our PAC.
Vodafone - you just lost 2 customers tonight.
Your advisors method of dealing with and speaking to my wife has resulted in a complete loss of faith in you by her which is not easily recovered.0 -
Reading this thread with interest as my DD phone (vodafone contract in my name) due to expire soon, not looking good though. OH and myself with Virgin, SIM only 30 day contract, and when OH rang to cancel to move to Tesco SIM only deal (£10 per month, 500 min/unlimited texts in 500mb) Virgin offered us 800 mins plus texts and internet for £10 per month. OH asked if I could have same deal and they said yes and told me when DD contract up to ring them and they would sort me something out for her too.
If you have to stay with Vodafone worth checking this out at Quidco.com as cashback will pay towards a phone.
£160 cashback
for a 12 month SIM only (£25 tariff) (Quidco Exclusive)
plus there are double minute deals on line at the moment.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)
