I'm currently just out of contract with two numbers £15 per month for 600 minutes, unlimited texts and free vodafone to vodafone calls which were on 18 month contracts
I'm not one of those people who are into the fancy phones and didn't like anything in the shop. I was offered 12 month sim only keeping the phones I have, same price plan and £90 credit to my account for each number effectively making it £7.50 per month over 12 months which I thought was pretty good but I will be contacting retentions tomorrow to see what they can offer me phone wise.
Other two contracts are the same but £12.50 a month but I got two phones with these back in December again on 12 month contracts- a Samsung Solid Extreme (brick) as my son kept breaking phones due to salt in his work place and a touch screen for my other son, the name escapes me, LG something but not wildfire.
Do the knowledgeable folks on here think I should just grab the sim only deal?
Thanks in advance.0 -
Well I've been trying to get a good deal on any upgrade and Vodafone keep trying to fob me off with the standard £25/pm trash they spill everyone =/
My Current Contract is:
Free HTC Magic
600 Mins
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Web (500mb FU)
18 Month Contract
@ £23.48/pm
very similar to eysteve's contract I've already got my PAC code as they gave it to me over the phone, contract ends in April. I'd love an HTC Desire HD or a Samsung Nexus S at £20/pm for 24 months if they offer it... lets hope I get a call from outbound retentions!
if not it's an Orange San Francisco and GiffGaff for me =]0 -
One thing to remember guys.
When you are planning what you will accept from Vodafone, there is an option B which is tie in your contract on a "Price Plan Only" upgrade and then buy a Voda Prepay handset and simply swap the sim card. I have done that on quite a few handsets myself and know a colleague who did with with one of the HTC's when it first come out.Signaller, author, father, carer.0 -
Vodafone are useless when it comes to upgrades. A year ago my household had 4 contracts with vodafone. In fact 3 of the numbers were merged with one account. They wouldn't give any decent deals apart ripping me off. Now I've moved two of the 4 contracts to o2. I have 2 remaining which I have a PAC code for one as that is out of contract. Been trying to get a Desire HD and I can easily move elsewhere for less money and get more minutes at the same time. Vodafone unwilling to match. They no longer need to keep hold customers I guess.
I got my PAC few days ago. Hopefully get a call from outbounds but I doubt it...0 -
^it amazes me the fact Vodafone cant retain its own direct employee's to give "customer care" let alone retain its customer baseSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0

I just renewed with Vodafone via there twitter account.
I haggled and got:
HTC Desire HD. £99 one off payment for the phone.
900 minutes
Unlimited Text
1GB Internet
0800/0845/0870 numbers included from inclusive minutes.
24 month contract
£22.50 a month
I thought that was a quite a good deal so accepted. I do have 7 days when received as cooling off period.0 -
I renewed with Vodafone last week after requesting PAC.
Free Nokia N8
600 Mins
Unlimited Texts
1gb Data
24 Month Contract
£20/Month
I'm satisfied but with
Tesco doing the N8 with
750 minutes
5000 texts
1gb of data
24 month contract
£20/month
I don't really think they did me any enormous favours.
I wish I'd known about the 0845/0870 etc extra that they charge 2.50 for as I think I'd have tried to get that included.0 -
hi, just thought i would share the deal i just got from outbound retentions. i am currently on the 12 month iphone sim only plan and was going to cancel and get another one with the quidco cashback so asked for my pac etc. i was only 10 months into my contract and this was on the earliest date i could give notice of cancellation. they came back to me with an offer of £7.50 a month off if i signed for another 12 months, so £12.50 a month without any hassle porting to payg and back to contact to keep no, passport etc. not bad i thought and not a lot of haggling required!0
