I have been offerred (by retentions)

    300 mins,
    unlimited texts,
    1gb internet

    £20 per month

and a FREE Desire S or Galaxy S (chosen Desire S). Is this any good? May cancel this?

    imo thats a good deal.

I went through the process of cancelling, pac code etc.....

....retentions offered me (after haggling) Galaxy S 200 mins, 1000 texts, 500gb Internet for £20pm over 24 months.

I turned it down and have not been able to get anything like that deal since so i am on the look out for deals elsewhere now.

Hi, I don't know if the vodaphone rep is still around, however my wife is having major issues with vodaphone. The basics are that she upgraded on 03/08/2009 on a 24 month contract, it now transpires that vodaphone added the remainder of her contract onto the 24 month contract so that her end date of her contract now ends 27/09/2011. Now we are 100% sure that this was never communicated, therefore we have asked for voda to pull the upgrade call, however after numerous calls they point blank refuse to. They wont escalte the call to a manager, so we are now looking to make a regulatory complaint. If someone can help me before I get to this it would be appreciated.

I am so disappointed in vodaphone & I am going to move my phone from them ASAP as I see this practice is wholly unfair if you have not been informed that this is happening.

Rang today and asked for a HTC Desire HD. Told them I could get one free via mobile phones direct for £25 a month for 18 months which is £270 cheaper over the term than Vodafone website. Despite the mobile phones direct offer being with Vodafone they just said they couldn't match it so I have emailed them to say that I am leaving.

I think vodafone are economical with the full facts when it comes to contracts.

I rang and took out a contract in June 2009 and agreed a Tocco on a 24 month contract for £15 per month. I was told this was normally £20 per month (which it was online) but that I could have it at £15. 6 months later I added internet at £5 a month, so my bill was now £20 per month. My bill in March 2011 jumped to £25 per month with no explaination. When I rang to ask I was told that it was because I could now upgrade (my contract ends early June 2011) that the discount was no longer given. After a few emails they agreed to give me back the £5 per month discount as a goodwill gesture. There had been absolutely no mention when I took out the 24 month contract that the discount was only for 21 months.

Thanks, I knew there would be others in similar situations. The people my wife have spoekn to have been absolutely horrible through customer services and the person she spoke to yesterday even agreed that it was not right and that she had not been told about this and that the sales team "often did this as a sales incentive!". They then agreed that they would take the extra time off for £50 !! My wife was furious and the person refused to escalte the call !
We therefore asked if this call was being recorded and the adviser said yes. So we are going to try and escalate this ourselves. Absolutely shocking practice, I like the network coverage but the customer service is the worst we have ever recieved anywhere. I will let you all know if we get anywhere.

    Hi John 3:16,

I am sorry to hear that you have not had your issue resolved as of yet.

I haven't received any of your emails. Did you put WRT135 (FAO Heidi) in the subject box? If not, can you forward them onto me by including that? I will be more than happy to look into it further for you.

    Hi hyndlegs,

I am really disappointed to hear about the customer service you have received so far. I can assure you that this is not the way that we want our customers to be dealt with.

If you do an upgrade to a new deal but you have months remaining on your existing contract, the new commitment (12, 18 or 24 months) will be added to the end of whatever you have left. For example: If I had a contract that ends on 10th July 2011 and I upgrade now to a new 12 month deal, my new end date will be 10th July 2012 giving me a total of 14 months commitment.

This should have been clearly explained to you and I understand that this is what you are not happy with.

So that I can deal with this from now on for you, can you drop me an email here with WRT135 (FAO Heidi) in the subject. That means that it will come directly to me and I can personally investigate further.

    Many thanks,

    Heidi

I've had a text from Vodafone today saying I can upgrade from now but no mention as to any new deal being put on top of my current one. I know I didn't renew my contract until June 2010 so thank you for the above messages as I know now I am not clear of any contract atm.

I have a Nokia 6700 slide, which I am more than happy with but it isn't wirelss and that is what I want, especially when I'm abroad.

    I get 300mins
    Unlimited text
    Unlimited internet
    £15 per month

I have been looking at phones and like the Nokia N8 and also the HTC S.

OH has been with Orange for a long time but not as long as I've been with Vodafone and he got N8 in February, 300 mins, unlimited texts, 1gb internet for £15 pm. Everywhere else they are wanting £25 pm for this phone. He never goes over his allowance and simply told them that is the phone he wanted and without any increase in his price plan.

Not sure VF will give me the same deal but shall try.

I have sent an email detailing the whole sorry story. I totally understand the theory of the cotract, however the issue is that this was never ever explained. I will be interested if you could get to the bottom of this !
