Vodafone Retention Deals

Is that £25/month + VAT = £29 or total £25? I think I need to reneg. my deal
.
£25 including VAT at the current rate.
It's not a discounted tariff but it meant I could get the phone for the lower tariff when they only offer the phone for higher tariffs.
It is only 300 minutes (I don't use anywhere near the 600 minutes I had on my discounted tariff last year) so it works for me.
The deals are getting less "discounted". Just worked out that my last contract was for the nokia 5800 and they gave me a free phone and the 600 minute tariff (worth £35) for £23 including VAT. Maybe the phone this time is more expensive?0 -
Just agreed a deal with retentions,
Samsung Galaxy S
£20 per month inc VAT
300 Minutes
Unlimited txt
500MB Data
18 Month contract
Had to pay £125 for the handset.
I think its an ok deal, has anyone had anything better with the Galaxy S0 -
Just got the HTC Desire HD for £20 a month, 24 months, 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 250mb internet and free phone.
The guy on the phone said unlimited internet but when i checked online my price plan has changed to the same as the guy at retensions said except for 250 mb internet instead of unlimited.
Feel like i would be taking the mick if i were to ring up and complain lol.0 -
My 18 month contract has been finished for a while now and i've still got my 5800 which needs to be changed. I called up upgrades and then cancellations to see what they could offer on the Desire HD but was told they cant offer any 'deals' as the phone isnt in stock and they can only offer what is in the pre order system. I didnt get my pac code as i was told to call again next week as they might have stock by then.
How are others getting the offers from them if they dont have them in stock? Through the phone or the web retentions?:cool:0 -

It's a bit of a joke - I called the other day to try and renogatiate a deal for just a normal HTC Desire having given up on the HD, and was told they didn't have any of those in stock either.0 -
You can change it yourself in the settings menu.0

My 24 month contract with Vodafone is about to expire. I rang Vodafone today and spoke to the Upgrades dept to see what upgrade options they could offer me.
I currently have a Blackberry Storm and would like to upgrade to iPhone 4 (32g). The person who I spoke to told me that all the Vodafone iphone deals are non-negotiable.
Is this true? Has anyone managed to negotiate a better iPhone deal than the ones advertised by Vodafone?0 -
I think people have shaved relatively small amounts of money off - like £20 off the phone price. It's pretty hard to get it down - you'll notice that most network deals are identical on the iphone too: even the Quidco you get on them is less than half any other phone.0

I accepted HTC Desire on 24 months - 300min, unlmd texts, 500MBdata and 1GB bt openzone. I asked lady to send me an email to confirm a deal, but she said she does not have a facility to send me email!!!!{in 21st century!!!}and that i can trust her that she is 100 percent recording it into my notes. as i had prevoiusly bad experience with deals that were not honoured by vodafone i rang the next day to check up what records they have. surprise, surprise....no bt openzone in my account...been transferred to returns dept and nice chap told me that bt openzone is offered only with iphone deals and been offered extra 500MB data which I accepted because bt openzone here in northern ireland is rubbish. Just to make everybody aware to insist on confirmation email of a deal or as I have luckily done write down the name of a person you are dealing with so that they know you are not making this story up, obviously the best would be to record a conversation but make them aware of that for legal reasons...well vodafone did not improve since last time i upgraded....it seems people in vodafone would not stop lying just to get their commision0

Update on desire delivery-BE AWARE of DPD!!!been waiting yesterday all day for DPD they did not turned up!!!happened to me at last upgrade too...phoned vodafone who contacted dpd and what did dpd say???it was returned to depot because i hadn't answered the door...well if true, why no calling card was not left, i am asking???{happned to me before}. so there is a pattern in dpd's behaviour. please don't take them seriously and if you will you ll end up in nutshouse:)
PS been offered 10 quidd good will gesture by vodafone for all the hassle0
