Iv been with Vodafone for nearly 4 and a half years now and it seems to count for nothing, I am eligible for an upgrade and upon phoning was offered a deal which did not match my current one and also did not match other offers on the market. When I quoted other deals that I could get with other networks I was offered a something which was close to it, but still did not quite match it and also asked to pay £45 for the phone, when its free with other networks!!

When I said im unhappy with this and would reluctantly be forced to leave as a result, the Vodafone rep did not seemed at all bothered and just said to request your PAC code when you reach the last 30 days of your contract. Like I said I have been a loyal customer for years now, and whilst I would have preferred to stay with Vodafone as they have great network coverage and generally very helpful customer service, they dont seem at all bothered about losing another valuable customer.

After speaking to the web relations team they have managed to sort me out a really good deal, and they definitely seemed to care about trying to find the best deal they could for us. Im now a happy again customer signed on again for another 18 months.

Agreed - I'd love to have that deal. No sign of my Desire HD or any other acknowledgement it's arriving or even ordered... I think they're severely understocked on this phone...

    Is this any good?
Nokia N8, £25 a month, 600 mins, unlimited texts, 500 gb internet, £26 for the phone on an 18 month contract.

    Seems tempting.

My deal is up in April of next year

I don;t want much :D just a Desire with unlimited text, 200 mins and internet for £15.00 per month.

is this within the realms of possibility or does a snowball have more of a chance in hell?

Web retentions have just processed my Desire HD order.

Although someone else here got a better deal through Retentions/PAC code request - I do have to say they've been fantastic to deal with: I'm happy with the package I got and it was better priced than the web deal, and they respond even via Twitter and called me at a reasonable time when I needed to get in touch.
  • Vodafone rang up to day and the person on the phone said she was the last department who would be calling me and just wanted to know if they could offer me anything to stay so I explained how I had asked for either the HTC desire on a 12 month contract or for them to match tescos rolling contract of £10 a month and explained how I was going to buy the HTC Desire sim free and what it was going to cost me overall. We had a chat and she was very nice, first she said I could upgrade 6 months early next time but I said that those 6 months would be added on to the next contract so eventually I would have a phone for more than a year which I didn't want so she went away for about a minute and came back and offered me the HTC Desire on a 12 month contract 300 minutes unlimited texts and 500mb internet for £40 a month which I was happy to accept, a little bit more expensive than buying the phone upfront for cheapest price (£345) and adding on £120 for the tesco deal would have made £465 for the year but I'm happier paying the £480 at £40 a month and not having to spend out all the money for the phone upfront.
  • After requesting my PAC code and sending my 30day notice, a Vodafone advisor phoned me last week and offered me a sim-only deal of 600mins & unlimited texts for £10 a month (on a 12month contract). I wanted to have a think about it and he was to phone back the next night. Unfortunately i had a death in the family and couldn't take his calls so i phoned Vodafone yesterday afternoon to renew my contract on the deal i was offered but was told that this is not available and he couldn't have offered it in the first place. I am extremely annoyed with Vodafone as i was made to feel as if i was lying about what i was offered and am also very disappointed as the best deal they would offer me was the same as a new customer signing up. If this is how they treat a customer of 9 years i am not surprised Vodafone's customer service gets such a bad press.

To top it off she went on to say that there were no notes on the system regarding this call but yet she knew who the person was from the system, and then continued to tell me she could not contact that person as they 'didn't work for Vodafone' as they were an outbound call centre. To me this isn't acceptable - this person phoned me with all my vodafone details so as far as i am concerned he worked for Vodafone!

Do i have any come back or where can i take it from here to get this deal – any advice appreciated. Thanks
