Vodafone Retention Deals

Just spoke to the web team, got offered a DesireHD for £35/m 18m. No handset charge, 600m u/l texts, 500mb internet. Good enough for me, I'd guess I could get better off the retentions team (but probably not as good as the £20/m 24 month deal posted earlier!). This will go through after release (tomorrow) as they can't do anything neat on a pre-order.0

My current 12 month contract for £40 a month with 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb data with a free HTC Magic is due to end within 30 days. Has anyone been able to get either the HTC Legend or HTC Desire on a 12 month contract as I have chatted to an adviser online and called up the upgrades team today and said they don't do 12 month contracts anymore. The other option I told them I was thinking about was buying the phone myself and getting a sim only deal either rolling or 12 month commitment and I told them about tescos £10 a month rolling contract with 500 minutes unlimited texts and 500mb data but all they have offered me was what is on the website for new customers which is nowhere near as good as tescos. The upgrade adviser allowed me to give my 30 day notice and said my PAC code would be sent by text or someone would call me with it, without even offering me any discount. If Vodafone can offer me a competitive deal I am happy to stay with them as have not had a problem, if not then I will have to go elsewhere... what do you think the odds are of someone calling back and offering me the Desire or Legend on a 12 month contract or a big discount on their sim only deals?0

silly question but i have 2 offers
18mths @ 23.20
or
24mths @ £18 all inc vat
to me the 24mths seems better value or am i missing something?0 -
Vodafone will have to work hard to keep me onboard after the data usage debacle, lack of firmware upgrades and terrible customer service. I'm thinking unless I get an insane deal on an iPhone im heading to tesco.0

I can't believe they're still only offering 500Mb on new Android phones. IMO, it should be 1Gb minimum, especially at a monthly cost >£30.
Might be worth pushing them to try and get 1Gb, I always felt like I had to suppress my usage at 500Mb and restrict how Android was designed to be used.0 -
Please remind me. Coming to the end of an 18 month contract. Wish to give the obligatory one months notice, but am i right in thinking you cannot do this and ask for your PAC code together. What is the best and correct way to do this. Probably going with the Tesco sim only.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0

You know the Tesco £10 deal only has 500mb data, too low these days.. and expensive if you go over it..0

I would push them but: I have wifi coverage at home and work and my last 5 bills I never pushed past 200Mb.0 -
Well vodafone you strike again
just called to ask to extend to 24mth from the 18mths i thought of initially, on 600min/unl text/inet for £23 or £18
now told its 900min/unl text/750mb £40 no discounts on 2 of the contract, but they have managed to apply a 50% discount to the cheaper phone i upgraded.
the guy thinks it might of been offered that on the desire not the HD
now been on the phone for 20minutes and counting.
this was the main reason after 10yrs8months i was leaving because discounts are promised then messed up and you have to chase them for it.
check your bills and chase again
lets see what they do now.
update: ooh yeah we found the 18mth deal but we can't find record of the 24mth deal sir so we can't offer it,
think i might get calls requested to be played back0
