Vodafone Retention Deals

It may be better to sign up as a new customer, and use Quidco. I did that today, and it predicted that I will get £100 cashback. Whether Vodafone fufils that...I guess I'll just have to wait and see.0

Hi everyone! I'm going to try and answer everyones queries in order, so here goes!
kai666 - I must apologise on behalf of the agent you spoke to. I can only hope it was due to a poor signal or telephony issue that you lost your call. Our agents are recorded on calls so I certainly hope this wasn't done on purpose. If you do need to discuss an upgrade with my team, contact us via Contact Us Page with MMM135 as the subject line.
paddy1001 - It certainly sounds like you had a lot more important priorities on your mind the day my colleague called. While I can't guarentee to be able to do the same plan as the one you've mentioned, I'll do my best to track the agent who called you to see if the offer can still be fulfilled. Contact me on Contact Us Page with MMM135 as the subject line.
penny/pincher - It sounds like you have your email subjects a little mixed up. To route them correctly in future, use WRT135 for account specific queries, EFT165 for technical queries and MMM135 for any upgrade or New Connection orders. This will ensure your messages reach the most efficient channels quickly
upgrades - We do indeed offer some great SIM Only discounts ourself with up to 6 months half price on the 12 month agreements. If you'd like to find out more contact me on Contact Us Page with MMM135 as the subject line.
emidee & imxxx - It can be confusing sometimes to see so many different options and quotes for different customers. Since August, we've rolled out a much more elaborate upgrading tool to our sales channels.
This programme allows us to look into individual accounts with much more detail. Customers with higher bill usage in the past, a longer history, the way they use their inclusive allowances, better payment scheduling or those using self help service like the eForum or My Account sections of the website will get the best value possible. This lets us recognise our true champion customers and reward them with some stunning offers.
matt1987 - It's great to hear everything worked out, even I couldn't manage that sort of rate on a staff account so Kudos! You must have really good history behind you to nab such a bargain
imr4n - You're right, standard tariffs will have 500MB data and premium grade tariffs double this up to 1GB
SandiRaRa - It's unfortunate to hear you're thinking of moving networks. If however you do decide to go, the PAC you're issued with is really easy to use!
A Port Authorisation Code allows you to switch your mobile number from one operator to another. Once you have your PAC from Vodafone, you would issue it to your new operator at the point of sale. They would then give you a 'porting date' upon which your Vodafone service and SIM would be switched off and your new providers SIM would go live with your current number.
You would lose any data saved on the Vodafone SIM memory though once it's switched off so ensure all your contacts have been backed up or moved to the phone memory before that happens; there's nothing worse than starting an address book from scratch
If there's anything my team can do though, get in touch via our Contact Us Page with MMM135 as the subject line
I hope that's answered everyones questions. As ever we'll continue to monitor this thread in future and lend a hand where we can!
Kind regards,
Ben Haslehurst

I have just qualified for an upgrade, having come to the end of my 24 month contract. My current package is:
Blackberry Storm
600 mins
unlimited texts
unlimited internet ( I realise they no longer offer this)
Cost; £35 a month
I was interested in upgrading to the Samsung Galaxy S. I called today and they offered me;
Samsung Galaxy S 8gb - Free
600 mins
3000 texts
1gb internet/email
Cost; £30 a month
This is the same deal they are offering to new customers on the website!
I asked them for some sort of incentive to stay with the network, and they asked me what kind of thing I was looking for. So I suggested 2 options;
1) Same as above but with 16gb handset.
2) Sam as above ( with 8gb handset) but for £25 a month.
They told me that these deals were unreasonable. So I mentioned this thread.
They told me that no Vodafone employees would be on sites such as this and these offers were highly unlikely!! So now they're calling me a liar!
Really annoyed and looking at other networks now.

Typical large corporation. There used to be a time when you would've said that the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. These days, it seems like the left hand doesn't even know the right hand exists.
Seems you got sorted, though, and that's the most important thing. If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

Ben
I have emailed the team twice with no response. Could you tell me how to contact you please. You did manage to help me a few mths ago but I have some questions?
ThanksThe measure of love is love without measure0 -
Just thought i'm update on my contact confirmation.
As I have online billing they sent through my renewal details by email.
To reconfirm for your information:
Free HTC Desire
600 mins
unlimited text
unlimited internet
12 month contract
9 mths @ 17.50
3 mths @ 30.00
A great deal and I'd also like to say how good Vodafone were in their customers services :T
A fantastic deal.
I know this was a few weeks ago now but I really can't believe more people haven't picked up on this and viewed it as a benchmark for what can be got.
Another point is that the focus here seems to be on the web relations team as the people who can offer the most. Since this deal looks like it was through the cancellations department can we assume that the web team don't have the clout we are led to believe?
Certainly none of the deals they have offered have come close to this - or actually been that impressive to be honest. Maybe the web team themselves can shed some light...0 -
Just started to 'negotiate' my next contract first call today was for a Google Nexus One
300mins
unlimited texts ( I never use more than 30 a month anyway)
500mb data
24 month contract! (no thanks)
£10.60 handset charge
@£25 a month
I know I can do better than this but if anyone has already got a better offer let me know.0 -

I wonder if the OP proceeded with that deal, it is incredible as it barely covers the cost of the handset.
Has anyone else been offered this?0 -
credit where credit is due!!
ben called me yesterday, and made me an offer of
Samsung Galaxy S ( 8gb)
600 free minutes
unlimited texts
1gb data
16 months @ £25 6 months @ £30
Ben was a delight to talk to, and offered me other deals too. Can't fault him and his team, just a shame that customers need to haggle in the first place.
the delivery of this handset is another issue though. DPD are a nightmare!! ( but thats for another thread!)
