Hi everyone
I'm at the end of my 18 month contract and am looking to get a new deal from Vodafone.
After some great advice here 18 months ago I haggled vodafone down( to the stage of requesting and
getting my PAK code ) to the following:
Free Blackberry 8900 curve
250 minutes ( suits my usage)
100 texts
Free email / internet
Free Telmap Satnav
All for £20/month incl VAT, which I thought was a good deal.
I'm now looking for a Blackberry Pearl 3G 9105 ( for my daughter as hers has packed in ), I will continue
using my Curve 8900.
Before I contact them to see what they offer me, what do you think constitutes a good deal, bearing in mind
what I'm on just now, the fact that I refused to accept their first 3 "final" offers 18 months ago,( probably pushed them
as far as they would go ) and the fact that it's now 18 months later ?
Thanks

Andy, I dont think you could go far wrong with contacting the web relations team. They are the people who can offer the best deals.
If it wasnt for this department, I would have left Vodafone a few years ago!0 -
HTC Wildfire
500 Minutes
5000 texts
5000 3 to 3 minutes
1Gb Internet
at £15 a month for 18 months although I only got it as good as that because I know one of the workers at my local three store.0 -

Nice deal! Vodafone's deals have gone very very poor lately.
Lets see what they offer me on the Samsung Galaxy S or HTC Desire when they ring me.0 -
I hate Vodaphone.
Asked for my pac before but let it expire because of holiday then a family crisis. So I requested it again at the start of this month. Waited for a call but nothing. Over the weekend my phone screen gave up the ghost. So I've no time for haggling/waiting/negotiating etc. Phoned Vodaphone this morning, explained I needed their best retention deal because of the above and ......... nothing. Was after their HTC Desire/600 mins/unltd texts/1024 mb 24 months on their site for £30 p.m. with TCB c/b £90 for new customers - and the amazing, never to be repeated, we want to keep your custom offer was .......... £30 p.m. Nada, zippo, zilch.
Screw them. Not messing with a pac. Just e-mailed a 30 day contract cancellation instruction.0 -
I hate Vodafone too!
Just come off the phone to the web relations team. I dont blame them and they are a superb team to deal with! However, they were only able to offer me exactly the same as the upgrades team, which was £25 per month for 24 months with Galaxy S 600 mins, Unlimited txts and internet.
I noticed on HUKD that new customers can get this deal through Vodafone by using Quidco... its ridiculous.
Even some of the deals people have been getting on here are better than what I am being offered. My sure signal is now decided to not work so have no signal and I have two other phones in the household on the same account with no reception as they are not 3g phones!
Requested my PAC code, and will be moving over to three most probably or Orange.
Very Very disappointed with Vodafone, and my other 4 lines will be following.0 -
Good Afternoon,
Somerset - Can you contact me to see what we can offer? I understand your handset is now not working so we will be in touch ASAP. Please include a link to this thread in your email to us.
andy91 - If you would like to do the same we'll take a look to see what we can offer you.
I'm sorry you still haven't received a call ScoCmac, if you haven't already sorted out a new deal could you email me again using the link above? Our email queue is up to date so we will get your email straight away.
All the best,
Kay

The web relations team can only give you the same deals as upgrades. The outbound retentions team which they say doesnt exist anymore is/was run by dataselect who give you the better deals thats why you have to wait for a call back and all the hassle of the deal not being on the system. Which is why you ask for email confirmation from a vodafone account.
That is my experience anyway0 -
Fatboy, normal upgrades told me today that they dont do outbound retentions anymore, which I thought was a lie.
I have just been offered 300 mins, Unlimited txts, 500meg internet on Samsung Galaxy S on £25 per month for 18months with a handset charge of £20.
I would have done this but the handset charge and 500meg instead of a 1gb is putting me off.0 -

Well that's me stuffed then. My phone is unuseable I've just had a call from Vodafone on it, it managed on stay on long enough for them to tell me who they were !
Vodaphone Co Rep - I've e-mailed you.
I'm mulling it over. The T-Mobile Wilfire/600 mins/texts/unltd data @ £20 pm with £80 TCB cashback seems my best option. I have to sign up to a new contract with someone either today or tomorrow. I'm missing calls left right & centre with my current useless mobile.0
