My latest offer, an htc legend for 2 years at £35 a month for 600 mins, 3000 text messages and internet. He denied it was the standard tariff, and said he would drop it down to £30 for 21 months as long as i agreed there and then to take it! When it became clear i wasn't going to do that, he cut me off!0

I just got offered Samsung Galaxy S, 300 min, Unlimited txt and 500mb internet on a 24 month contract for £20pm. Handset was £29 but he waved delivery and included the Mclaren Backpack in with the bundle as there wasnt any 4gb memory cards in stock - as originally agreed.
I have taken this deal as I dont mind paying £20 per month and would much rather do this than pay £25 a month.0 -
Hi all, I asked vodafone for my PAC about two weeks ago and have taken a contract with o2 from yesterday for the HTC desire, £45p/m for 900 mins, unlimited text and 500mb? data maybe, not quite sure about the data amount.
The reason I took the o2 contract was the free Ireland bolt on which basically allows free incoming calls when roaming on o2 IRL which quite often happens me as I live on the north south border, my roaming charges would often be at least £20 -£25 p/m over my allowance with vodafone if not double that, my bills were regularly £80+ per month
Now, today I was at the hospital with my gf, she is 28 and going for cancer op tomorrow, a vodafone rep called me about 3pm and offered £20p/m 900 mins unlimited text and unlimited data htc desire for 18 months but my mind was so far away from phones I said no thanks and left it at that.
Now that gf is settled in and in best possible hands for her op tomorrow I am home and am able to think other things and have been thinking about vodafone offer, what are the chances of them phoning me again as I would need to have £25 roaming per month with vodafone to reach o2 cost of £45 p/m?
At the end of the day if they were to call back it would be good but my girlfriends health :heart2: means more than any mobile deal does.

So far I've emailed using the website form, written a letter of complaint, phoned, and also emailed using Vodafone FIT135 method (Forum Intervention Team)
Each time I'm met with the reply 'you agreed to an 18 month contract @ £34.00+VAT per month' I've included a copy a the confirmation message with each communication to Vodafone.
I don't know what to try now, as the SMS confirmation clearly details what was agreed.
Any suggestions welcome

Hi Everyone,
been with Vodafone for three years now started with the dreaded dialamobile which in the end worked out ok. I recently upgraded as my bills were so high I was paying £27.50 a month for 600 minutes unlimited texts and internet with no phone or contract term.
I requested the pac as I had seen a sim only deal on o2 which I liked the look of, got a call from Vodafone outbound retention team and was offered the following deal
600minutes
500mb internet
unlimited texts
unlimited landlines
100mms
vodafone passport
No phone
12 months sim only
£15 a month
Thought this was a pretty decent retention deal what do you all think. on another note I got a good retention deal from three as well for £5 a month with a phone nokia 5230 see my other post.

An update from me.
Have spoken to the web relations team ( Thank you to the Vodafone Rep ). Kay was courteous and phoned when she said she would :T so excellent there. Unfortunately, the only offers she could make just weren't competitive. 600 mins, unltd texts, 1GB - HTC Wildfire £20 pm for 15 months £30 for three months, Desire £30/£35 same deal.
So I've just signed up with T-Mobile. Wildfire for 24 months (unfortunately) @ £20 p.m. ( 600 mins, unltd texts, unltd data, landline bolt-on ) and if TCB pays out a £80 cashback.
Thanks to the Vodafone Rep for trying0 -
Well after a lot more haggling with Retentions in the last few days, my husband has finally accepted the following deal from Vodafone:
300mins
Unlimited texts
500mb Internet
24 month contract
£19.99 per month
£88.13 for Samsung Galaxy
Umm, why are Voda making up deals each time? I just got a Galaxy S on the same deal, £19.99 a month but only paid £59.99 for the handset and it's a 16gb one too. Plus, they messed me about with the delivery so credited my account with a months line rental. Still don't think it's an amazing deal though, I've had better through retentions in the past but they are soo stubborn suddenly, won't budge at all even if you've been offered better elsewhere!0 -

that's a shame the vodafone deal would have been better would have saved you £10 and you would only be on an 18 month plan instead of 24 months hope you get your cashback ok0 -

No. it would have cost me £30 extra over the 18 months (last three months, plan reverted to full price) plus if the cashback is paid that'll be £110 less over the 18 months.
The plus to the Vodafone offer was 18 vs 24 months. But 6 months wasn't worth passing up £110 for0 -

but sureley the t-mobile is dearer 24*£20 a month = £480 - £80 cash back 24 = £400
vodafone 15*20 £300 plus £30*3 £90 = £390 for 18 months
or am I missing something?0
