Vodafone Retention Deals

I emailed a semi complaint yesterday about the way things were handled on the phone.
I got a reply again prattling on about not being eligible for upgrades (even though I told them I have an iPhone) and informing me to expect a call with my PAC number.
They really dont want to keep customers do they?0 -
hi guys just been on the phone to retentions about an upgrade to my current voda contract which ends in September.
I am a heavy user and regularly go over my current deal (900 min stc+unl texts@£19, no phone), I have been offered:
samsung galaxy s 16GB
1200 x/network minutes( inc. stop the clock)
free voda-voda calls
unl. txts
1gb internet
for £35 on a 18 month contract extension.
can anyone tell me if its a good deal or should I try again?
thanks:)0 -
Hi,
I currently have a second hand iphone 3gs's and need a sim only contract. The current offer is £8.50/month for 100 mins 100 texts and i got a sony c510 with that. It is 18months (6 months still remain), is it possible to negotiate a way out of it/change it because i need a data plan.
Can anyone offer any advise?
cheers.0 -
Well, I spoke to Vodafone and they were unable to offer me an iPhone on my current price plan. They said the plans were fixed by apply and refused to budge. They would let me have one for £50 or a refurbed one for free if I increased my monthly contract to £30 from £20 for the same deal (300 mins, unltd txts and internet) so I said no. I dont know if they have changed their setup but I called three times and each time I ended up speaking to the upgrades department, I specifically requested the cancellations department, spoke to a chap about cancelling and he wasnt able to offer me any better deals so I specifically asked him what department I was through to and he said upgrades. I asked for my PAC code and he said he was happy to request it for me, confused!?
Well, in the end I went for a 24 month deal on the same price plan £20 a month
300 Mins
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Internet
Samsung Galaxy S handset for £59
Not a bad price but I didnt really want a 24 month contract. Anyway... I went for the samsung as they had it in stock, they assured me it would be delivered today and then I got a text last night saying it had been delayed. Phoned them today and they struggled to explain what was going on then came up with some weird explanation after speaking to the warehouse that the warehouse didnt have any and were waiting for delivery from vodafone?! Apparently I just have to wait for a text to let me know when it will be delivered, they couldnt do any better than that, seems a bit poor to me!0 -
My contract with Vodafone is up for renewal now so i'm going to give the retentions dept a call and see what I can haggle. I've always managed good deals in the past but I really want an iPhone 3GS and i've got a funny feeling they are going to say no chance unless I up my contract.
Currently i'm on 300 anytime minutes, unlimited txt's and 500MB internet for £20 a month. I'd really like to keep this and aim for an 18 month contract, what do you think my chances are? If not, do you think there's more chance of me getting an Android mobile like the HTC Desire? I'd really like an iPhone cos I chose an alternative last time and regretted it but if they wont let me have one I might have to think about something else
iPhone contracts are fixed by Apple and so Vodafone cannot budge on them. Haggling for an iPhone won't get you any results because Vodafone cannot offer you any differently to the set prices that Apple agreed they could offer the iPhone for.0 -

Long suspected that, but never thought it was true. :mad:0 -

£20 pm 300min unlimited txt unlimited internet and se x10 mini pro 24 months.
is the £20 pm deal any good and is the mini pro any good?

I think it's stone cold, given the length and few minutes.0 -
