They offered me a similar deal so I asked for my PAC code by email. I got a call today from Retentions and they offered me:

    HTC Desire free
    300 mins
    unlimited texts
    500mb internet
    18 months contract
    £25 a month

Since i didnt need that many minutes, I accepted the deal although the phone is out of stock at the moment.

That's pretty much the deal I got last week, except I got 1GB of internet.

If you phone and ask for a complimentary bundle upgrade, explaining that your HTC Desire is an 'always on' smart phone, they'll probably offer you the 1GB FOC - they did with me anyway. HTH,

    M.

Absolute rubbish. My partner is on a 900 min sim only with unlimited texts, 500mb internet and 50 MMS @ £20 per month for 12 months, HALF the term they're offering you!

I got 700 mins, 250 text messages, unlimited landline and internet for £15.50 for 12 months last year. They tried it on at £20 for 2 years. Don't ever take the first offer they make

There does appear this year to be a rapidly growing inflexible approach to SIM only discounts.
  • Thought I share my experience. Phoned retentions twice and barely got a deal that was better than the standard online deals for the samsung galaxy S. Asked for PAC and got a phone call back and they price matched a deal on buymobilephones.net. It's in the internet package and search for 10-15/month deals, can't post URL :(. (The price for the phone has been £160 +/- 10)

So I've got 300 mins, unlimitd text, 500gb internet, £15 for 24 months and £160 for the phone. Works out £520 for the whole package.

Oh and also, I was trying to push for a 18 month contract for £25 and everyone laughed at me...

Only £20-25 price plan shows up?

    Edit

Oh I see it. Good deal I suppose, if its not 24month long!
