Vodafone Retention Deals

After 15 years i will end my dealings with vodafone. They do not care whether i stay with them or not. My prior bill was £120 and the one before that £70 as i was planning a wedding and went abroad. Deals on upgrade on better than standard websites and behind competitors.
Very sad for what is a global company that prides itself on service. I contacted web relations team 4 days ago and i have not even received an acknowledgement. Orange appear to be giving good offers on Samsumg Galaxy S.0 -

I agree there service is poor, but hang in there.
When you are in the last 30 days of your contract ask for your PAC code and say you want to leave.
They will get back to you and you will be able to haggle a good deal.
I've been with them 9 years and all ways have to wait till the last month to get a decent deal with them - they come good in the end.

My contract finished July 2010 so technically i have been due an upgrade for a year now. Nothing, no call, no follow up. Shocking. PAC code was requested on Wednesday and they didnt care.0

Went through to upgrades, and got offered a samsung galaxy s for free and 600 minutes, 3000 text messages and 500meg internet for £25 over 2 years. Any good?
The 2 years is a major sticking point though.
I'm hoping retentions might be able to do me better0 -

That's a good deal don't think web retentions will top that, go for it. IIRC you should be able to upgrade after 21 months so not fully 2 years.
I hope I get a similar deal.0 -
that is a good deal - first offer for me was deals as per vodafone website
called back next day - galaxy S free , 600 mins Unlimited texts and 500MB - £30 for 24 months
the lady said she was high values retentions and there was no manager or other team to speak to
if i was offered ur deal now i would prob accept - though 18 months on same terms and i would defo not complain. the best similar deal i have found is around £27.50 phones for u - orange 18 months 500 mins 3000 texts which i told voda fone and they said we dont match we cant do anything for you.0 -
Hi...
I phoned Vodafone this morning but got cut off.
Phoned back an hour later and spoke to upgrades.
She said they have a new computer system that became live today, and the deal I wanted she couldn't do but then said her manger would phone back.
I didn't hold my breath.
But, miracles of miracles, I did get a call from her manger 20 minutes later and got almost all of what I wanted.
Free HTC Desire, 250 mins & Stop the Clock, 100 texts, and 500 MB internet @ £25 a month over 18 months inc free delivery.
I wanted 1GB but she couldn't authorise that. I could of requested my PAC and chanced my arm further down the line but basically, 'cos the handsets are in stock, I agreed to the deal.
Also wangled a free car charger.
Now that t-mobile have changed there T&C's regarding mobile internet I thought life would be easier sticking with Vodafone.0 -
Success of sorts - not sure if start of month they have a bigger pot of money to play with - i upgraded
samsung galaxy free - 18 months 300 mins UL text 500MB £25pm - car charger - had to pay for delivery
try asking for memory card or piccie messages near the end....0 -
Remember, those of you who have been put on tariff's of 500MB per month may be eligible for a free upgrade to 1GB per month depending on your plan and phone type:
From Vodafone's eforum:
"The premium tier of our new price plans includes 1GB of data instead of 500MB.
If your current price plan has “YP” at the beginning of its code (see the first page of your bill) then you’re on the older version of the premium plans and are eligible to move to the new ones. You’ll pay the same as you currently are per month for the same allocation of minutes and texts, but with twice the data allowance. The handsets this applies to are: HTC Touch Pro 2, HTC Desire, Google Nexus One (which was previously 1GB), HTC HD2, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, Samsung Galaxy S or Nokia N900.
If you’re on any other plan currently, then you’ll either be on an older price plan or one with “YC” or “YE” at the beginning of the code. As these plans normally have a lower monthly line rental, you can move to the premium plans which include 1GB of data, but this will involve you paying a higher amount of line rental each month or taking a drop in minutes or texts. You can’t move to any of the newer price plans which have a lower monthly line rental or commitment length than you’re currently on."0
