It's okay I suppose. TBH I wouldn't get Android on long contract. New Android phones come out so fast, it's not even funny. :eek:0 -

Hoping to have same deal with HTC Legend on an 18 month contract?
Am I dreaming?
Looking at forum Vodafone don't seem keen to retain current customers!

Had a call from outbound retentions today and was offered the following:
600 x-net minutes
Unlimited texts
500mb internet
18 month contract
£25 a month for the entire duration of the contract
Was given a choice between the HTC Desire (OOS at present) or the Samsung Galaxy S, so I went with the Samsung Galaxy S.
I said that Phone4u were offering the following deal: click here (second option down) and they came back with that. This deal is also available on the HTC Desire here (fifth option down)
I'm within the last 30 days of my contract and I have already rang them up and requested my PAC code.
Hope this helps some people.0 -

I bought an iPhone 4 at the weekend and I have about 6 weeks left on my contract. I called 191, vodafone offered me exactly the same as o2's simplicity for iPhone (which is £15) for £35!!!
I pointed out to the soft lad on the phone the comparison to o2 and that if he wasn't prepared to offer me something I'd be asking for my PAC number.
He didn't give a damn so I hung up.
Whats the next step then?0 -
Just negotiated a 12 month extension to my contract without upgrading my phone:
£15 per month
600 cross network minutes plus 'Stop The Clock' (no longer available on new contracts, so glad I managed to keep this! It effectively gives unlimited calls evening and weekends, so if you have this option do the best to retain it!)
Unlimited Texts
500MB Internet
Will be ordering an iPhone 4 32GB on PAYG from Vodafone via Quidco to get my £5 offSo £565 + £180 = £745, only £25 more overall than Tesco plus the minutes included are way better

A friend took contract with Voda for years, didn't upgrade the phone last time around, and was given 1200mins + stop the clock, etc for £18 a month. What I'm saying, is 600mins sims-only isn't great considering its pretty much sims-only.
Get quidco, and sims-only contract with voda or o2 instead on £20pm. they give you around £100 cashback eventually with 900mins , works out at £11.67 with free LG cookie.0 -
My contract with Vodafone is up for renewal now so i'm going to give the retentions dept a call and see what I can haggle. I've always managed good deals in the past but I really want an iPhone 3GS and i've got a funny feeling they are going to say no chance unless I up my contract.
Currently i'm on 300 anytime minutes, unlimited txt's and 500MB internet for £20 a month. I'd really like to keep this and aim for an 18 month contract, what do you think my chances are? If not, do you think there's more chance of me getting an Android mobile like the HTC Desire? I'd really like an iPhone cos I chose an alternative last time and regretted it but if they wont let me have one I might have to think about something else0
