I would be careful with Vodafone. They promised me 600 mins but my account only shows 200 mins. As you may understand I am not very happy. Do not trust them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And this was from the web team as well! The measure of love is love without measure0 -
From everything i'm reading on here Vodafone seem to be hitting the self destruct button!
I rang up earlier to discuss upgrade options and believe i was rerouted to an overseas call centre (which i've not experienced with them before), I could barely understand a word the woman was saying to me, other than I should forget a 18 month contract on an upgrade it has to be 24 months, what utter rubbish!0 -
They dont seem to have the desire in stock
but only thing i could get is 24 months @ £25 600xnet unlimited text + internet
with a £37.50 contribution. They dont even hand out the PAC quickly anymore0 -
My Vodafone contract expires today.
At present I pay £35 per month on an 18 month contract.
I'd like a Blackberry Bold. I rang Upgrades today, and I was told I can have one on 18 month contract, 300 mins, Unlimited Texts and Unlimited Internet (5gb) for £35 per month or £30 + £45 for one off fee for handset.
I really want it a bit cheaper than that. What are my options? As my contract expires today (14/05/10) how long before I can expect a call from retentions?0 -

When you say it has expired, have you actually given them 30 days notice in writing? If you havent then it hasnt expired AFAIK. Once you have given notice and asked for your PAC code they will ring you frequently, so find out what you can get elsewhere (exactly) and ask them to match it or better it0 -
I just accepted a deal from outbound retentions today despite nearing finalisation for migrating to Orange.
Upgrading with Vodafone was very frustrating (trying for weeks now, multiple times with Upgrades/inbound retentions, one prior failed attempt from outbound retentions). I was reluctant to leave initially because vodafone have much better reception here than any other network but Orange offered me an amazing deal.
Samsung Monte
1200 mins
unlim. texts
500mb internet
50 picture messages
Sat Nav
24 months
£30 for 18 months, £35 thereafter
I'm a very heavy all-round phone user which is very difficult to get cheaper deals for (deals I've read here either sacrifice on minutes or on texts, neither which I can do)
However, Vodafone called me today and when I told them I'd as much as left (verbally agreed with Orange), they really tried to match it
They offered
Samsung Monte
900 minutes (but with unlimited VF-VF calls so even better for me than 1200 mins)
unlim. texts
500mb internet
50 picture messages
18 months
£30 (discounted for entire contract)
He also threw in a Bluetooth headset
Okay, no Sat Nav package but it's 18 months instead of 24 plus it's discounted for the entire contract length. Haven't seen anything better for such high usage anywhere so I'm pretty pleased with it.0 -
We've waved Vodafone goodbye, I was told that for £15 a month I couldn't expect to get any better deal from them for being a long standing customer.
In fact, the deal was a downgrade on my current one.
We've gone to T Mobile and got:
LG InTouch Max
300 mins
Unlimited texts
Unlimited I'net (upto 3gb)
£15 per month.0
