Just off the phone to Vodafone as I've been getting a lot of missed calls from them the last few days. Asked about stock of the Desire and was told that they're nearly in stock, but still stuck in customs. Who knows how many they're getting though and how big the backlog is.

On the Vodafone eForum people are reporting receipt of Handset despatched emails. Also the 16GB memory card "compensation" is true and has been confirmed my moderators.

Just got my email confirmation phone on way for tomorrow.

I got a good deal nearly as good as Karatedragons although I think they may not be telling the whole truth

However, the £160 offered by Orange via Quidco I used as a stick.

The PAYG mobile dongle was an offer on a coupon/promotional code website!!!

You wont get Quidco cashback unless you buy online via Quidco. And if you've ordered online why would they offer you a better deal - you've already confirmed and placed the order at the previous rate.

My original post didnt read right, I meant I dont think you are telling the whole truth not vodafone.

I got the same deal as you but without the extra landline calls, quidco cashback and dongle.

I dont see how you got the quidco cashback on a deal over the phone

my contract runs out next month,will be ringing tomorrow for my pac code.looking to upgrade to a samsung jet or a nokia x6,with 300 mins,300texts no internet.can anyone give advice as to how much i should be looking to pay for this contract.

Just had a call from Web retentions. Whilst in my case they could not offer me a great deal I have to say Helen was extremely helpful, and honest, when I stated my situation and what I was offered she told me what they could offer and said they could not match the deal I was looking at.

I certainly appreciate her honesty, despite what is often posted in these forums about VF reps..

received my desire today, deal originally done via retentions on the 8th april. It did indeed come with a 16gb memory card
