I've just been speaking to Vodafone Web Relations Team and the best they are willing to offer me at the minute is the same tarrif as you but with £70 for the handset.
I wonder if you got the handset cheaper due to your wifes contractTESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
I think vodafone offer terrible loyalty deals.
I have just phoned the upgrade team and mentioned that I had seen someone had been offered an 18 month deal on the HTC Desire, £25 a month, 600 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited web.
At first I was told that it was impossible as vodafone can only offer 24 month deals on this phone! I then asked why there was a 18 month contract being offered on this phone for new customers through their website?????
After much discussion I was offered an 18 month contract at £35 a month with a free phone ( exactly the same as a new customer would get!) or I could get this deal at £30 a month but the handset would cost me £65 !!!
So basically I am being offered a discount of £25 over 18 months as loyalty for being a good customer of vodafone for several years. I pointed this out and was told , yes, that's the deal.
It's a joke!
It seems that vodafone give different deals depending on who you talk to. If you are lucky then you might get someone who will offer you a deal worth while. If you are unlucky then you'll get told good offers don't exist.
My partner has a phone contract with O2 and they give much much better retention deals than vodafone.
In 5 days time I can request my pac code then I'm off to spend my money on a company who give better deals than vodafone!
Oh and by the way, I have already tried contacting the web team a few days ago as suggested in this forum, I'm still waiting for them to phone me!

Just got offered an X10, 300 min, UT & UI for £20 (24 month)
Didnt take it though.0 -
I've just been called back after requesting my PAC as I was getting no joy from upgrades. I was offered a free HTC desire on 24 month contract, 300 mins, unlimited texts and internet for £20/month (plus the delivery charge). They're just waiting to get the phones back in stock.0

Looks like thats the standard discount for the new phones then. I enjoyed how angry the guy was getting.
Remember to ask for any deals you accept to be written in an email to you.0 -
Not really happy with vodafone at the moment!
I am in my 70 day upgrade but they reckon i can only do this online. I go to phones4u and carphone warehouse, they can upgrade me in store.
Can someone please explain this as vodafone just stated the obvious! no i cannot upgrade you on the phone but only online.
my phone is on its last legs, screen has gone totally due to it being a slidy phone.
Secondly, I currently pay £30 a month, the best they can match me in phones4u and carphone and voda online is £35 for what I have got now. surely this is not right????
Any help please? specially from the vodafone rep please!0 -
They changed their upprade time scale recently to 30 days (i believe) via phone. Not sure what else it is you are rambling about.0
