48 hours is standard. Saying you can only upgrade online is basically saying "you dont spend enough, we cant be bothered to deal with you"
But my bills are usually over £30 and I've been a customer for 10 years.
I was told to write in too and say I am leaving, do I need to?2p off is still 2p off!0 -
Hi there
fatboyonadiet - I'm sure we can help. We've changed our upgrade timescales. If you are in the last 50 days of your contract you can upgrade through any of our sales channels (online, over the phone or in store). If you're in the last 70 days you can upgrade online only.
If you'd like me to see if there's anything we can do for you feel free to get in touch by sending an email from here with a link to this thread and your username. Make sure you include the code MMM135 so it comes straight to us.
three1ne - If you haven't received a reply or a reference number yet, could you email us using the address in our profile and we'll get back to you as a priority.
photome - I'd hate to see you go, but this is something we can look into for you if you follow the same instructions as fatboyonadiet above.
Marty4 - This is something that I'd like to investigate for you to see if anything further can be done. If you'd like me to do this please feel free to get in touch using the same method as given to fatboyonadiet and we'll get back to you.
Take care
Kirsty

It's a shame to see that you're leaving, but I'm sure we can still help you.
If you've used your PAC, once your number has fully transferred over, you'll get a final bill from us. It's this final bill which will contain any credits for line rental you've paid but not used. You can contact us directly using the same links as above and we'll be happy to take a closer look at your account for you though. Just include the code MMM135 into the subject line and we'll be in touch.
Thanks

Hi there
mel d-
I've just tried the link and it seemed to be working for me, are you still having problems accessing the Contact Us page?

It's brilliant to see that you're looking to upgrade. As three1ne has suggested you can check your upgrade dates online using My Account. If you've not registered an account yet you can contact us using the same link as above - including the code MMM135 in the subject field, a link to this thread and your username, and we'll get back to you.
three1ne-
I've just checked the reference number that you've received and can see that we've replied to your email and also received your cancellation letter. If you do need anything else let us know.
Kind Regards
Helen

I've just emailed Vodafone to cancel my contract which ends in less than a month but I'm not sure what I need to do to prevent any massive 'termination' fees. My contract ends on the 20th and I've sent my email today (the 26th) which needs to be 30 days notice. But then I've also got a PAC code which expires on the 17th April! I've been told that if I use it before the 20th then I'll be charged a termination fee, but if I use it from the 20th then I don't need to give the 30 days notice. Does anyone know if this is right? It's certainly got me confused!
And the irony of this is that I didn't even want to cancel! I was offered a deal last year of 600 mins/unlimited texts/vodafone to vodafone and internet on the phone all for £10 a month but they can't get near that now apparently, the cheapest they could do is £15 on 12 month sim only. This is equivalent to their £20 a month deal which is 600 mins/unlimited texts/internet which is available to new customers...and on quidco at the moment there's £100 cashback meaning you effectively pay £11.66 a month. And when I spoke to vodafone about this they said they couldn't match it, no cashback and not less than £15 a month. But it's their offer, they'll be paying the cashback to quidco, so clearly they can afford to! Just not for existing customers maybe.
Anyway that annoyed me, clearly vodafone are more interested in new customers than in keeping their existing ones so I'm off to find pastures new. It's a shame because this was my first contract phone and I thought once it came to renewal that I'd just keep renewing with Vodafone, but such is life.
Any advice on how to proceed and make a smooth transition to my next supplier would be much appreciated please.0 -

I'd just like to say my thanks to the web relations team who phoned me back today after sending them an email a couple of days ago from this thread.
I got a new phone for my Mrs that she wanted and a deal including cashback within my budget.
Thanks to Matt, and I'll be in touch for my phone within a couple of weeks. Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -

Did you get this offered to you by Vodafone and didn't have to go through Quidco?0 -
Hi lara,
I was tempted to go through Quidco, but when I got the callback, i had just been looking at it, and I said to the chap I had seen that deal with Quidco, and he said that he could come up with something similar, which he did, I have absolutely no complaints.
I'm going to get back in touch shortly for my own phone too and hopefully get something similar. Just can't make up my mind which handset...Nokia X6, HTC Desire, Samsung Genio Slide or the SE Vivaz. Moving from a Blackberry Storm. Thanks to all the competition posters.0
