May I ask, did you receive a reference number when you emailed us? If so, could you let me know what it is so I can track down the message and confirm that your 30 days notice has been accepted please?
Thanks.

Hi I have come to the end of my contract so have been looking for good deals on the Storm2.Found best deal on the net so rang upgrades and explained what I had found and asked her if she could match it.After ten minutes of"are you sure you want a Storm","why do you want a Storm",Would you rather have a ???"she finally gave in and accepted that was the phone I wanted.Only then did she say it was only available online and she could not help me.Seems strange that if its Vodafone branded phone she could not supply it.Anyway it is now back to the usual:- request PAC,call from retentions, haggle a deal, several calls later deal done. Why have an upgrade dept if they cant upgrade, seems they can change your tarriff and thats about it.Surly it would be better for all concerned if upgrades were sorted with one phone call and not the long winded affair it always ends up being.
Just to say the lady I spoke to was very polite,Just not very helpful.0 -
Long time lurker, first time poster here, thought I'd give you my recent experience regarding an Upgrade with Vodafone...
I've just gotten off the phone with a really nice guy from the Upgrades department who's best offer was the BlackBerry Bold 9700 with £75.16 up-front with 300 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited internet & BlackBerry services for £25 per month on a 24 month contract.
I turned down this offer as Orange have an excellent deal on their website with £50 up-front, 600mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet & BB services for £25 per month on a 24 month contract.
I really like Vodafone, and have found their customer services very helpful when I've needed them and have been with them for quite some time now, but it looks like I'll have to go to Orange and go down the whole PAC code route when my contract finishes, which really isn't what I wanted to do, but there you go!
I'm quite suprised that Vodafone won't even match Orange's deal when I was hoping they'd maybe chop £10/£20 off the up front cost for the phone given that I'm an existing customer, but perhaps I was overly optimistic!
On the bright side, I won't have to borrow my sister's Orange Wednesday code every week for cheap pizza and cinema anymore!
EDIT: I just checked QuidCo too and they can give £80 cashback, which will write off the up-front cost *and* effectively give me 1 free month on line rental (minus the £5 QuidCo charge) SCORE!now just gotta hang around 20 days before I can get my PAC code before I become a BlackBerry zombie!

been with v for think about 10 yrs not sure but long time and was happy with them, sure never got a free upgrades on anything but was happy. then 1 day i got a call from v stating i was a valued customer and i could have 3 FREE payg sims for family members to make calls cheaper. and this will cost me nothing (payg sims).
not really the upgrade i wanted but would save a touch o money. end of month get text bill for 70£ phone and try see whats happening.after half hour of trying to confirm my d.o.b i was told that they were to be charged to my acount on monthly basis even though the sims were still unopened.explained situ and said no problem i'll cancel and re credit your account (not give back £ )..
next month same thing and 5 months after still same, money out of account and d.o.b and account details wrong, but they are sorry and we'll rectify.problem was every month it was diff operator so had to go through it all again.last 1 said i had to write to head office!! did get a laugh out of 1 that told me my d.o.b, only 78 ! finally get the fraudulent charges stopped but still account details wrong..only ever needed to phoned voda since the start of this but 20/30 calls later and im just letting contract run out. details still seem to be wrong..
and never accepted they were wrong but i got 20£ off 1 month 8 months after it.
i should have shouted louder, still live and learn
who's best for iphone/htc dh2 ?0
