Vodafone Retention Deals

Hi Helen thank you for clearing up my questions you've been most helpful. Rhiannon x0

I'm not having much help from Vodafone at the moment.
I'm in my last 50 days and wanted to upgrade and take a second phone and line, but i phoned upgrades and asked if they will pricematch another deal, only to be told that Vodafone no longer do the N900. Obviously a lie. Shockingly, or maybe not, the representative was more than happy to advise me how to cancel my contract with Vodafone so i could get the N900s on another network.
I then posted a thread on Vodafone's official forums with the title "Upgrades have just told me Vodafone no longer do the N900", and asking how i could get some genuine help with my upgrade. Well, imagine how surprised i was to discover that within 2 minutes, someone at vodafone had essentially censored my post and changed the title to something rather different. They responded to the thread by stating i could email them, and then locked the thread!
I emailed them and received a rather standard reply stating i should phone upgrades!!
I get the feeling that with Vodafone, it really depends on whether you're lucky enough to speak to someone who wants to help... Or are unlucky enough to speak to someone who couldn't care less whether you stay with them or not.0 -

Hi tcall,
Thanks for your post and I can understand your frustration, but I'd like to help.
It's well documented from my colleagues who have posted on here, that if there issues in relation to upgrades and new connections that we'll do everything we can to help.

I haven't had any reply to my email sent towards the end of February. I'm also looking around elsewhere to see what is out there. I haven't rung retentions directly so should give that a go aswell. My contract expires in a weeks time. OH is with Orange so friends and family discount is a possibility.0

Hi Lara,
I'm really sorry that you haven't had a reply. Do you have a reference number so we can check what's happened?
Failing that, do contact us again via the link and we'll get in touch.

I have been with vodafone for many years and have 2 other phones for my daughters as well. I have been on a plan for about 3 years for £25-50% disounted with 225 mins and STC with 100 texts. Each time i have upgraded i have been given a crappy vodafone phone. In the last couple of months i have been without service for a few days at a time ,because i do not receive 3g reception and i have been offered a couple of deals to upgrade but it is with the same plan and a Nokia 6303 or if i want better i have to pay £25 for more minutes and texts than i want with a Nokia 6703. I wanted about 300-400 mins,250 texts and internet. Am i being unreasonable and what deals have other people been receiving.0

When can I get my PAC code I have 40 days left of a contract but can get a great deal with Virgin on the Nokia X6.
Currently paying £30 a month for 600mins unlmtd txts and unlmtd internet, I can get the same on Virgin with the X6 for £25 a month, Vodafone website is no where near that0 -
Hi
I'm currently with T-Mobile. I travel a lot for business, and frequently have bills of £800/900 per month. I'm considered a high value customer by T-Mobile so get good upgrades and discounts on renewal.
If I went into a Vodafone shop, and took my bills, would a business consultant be able to give me a deal that was better than mainstream based on my spend?
Thanks!1st letters received on 16.02.07 for HSBC, Goldfish, Tesco, RBoS & Lloyds TSB0
