First time poster but have been lurking about on here with interest, I'm pretty sure I'm close to my 50 days left of my contract, how do I find out whether I am eligable for an upgrade? I have been with Voda for 3 years and have been happy with the service they have provided me with0

Alex,
Go on to vodafone website and log in, go to your account, and there should be a link for 'Upgrade My phone' click on that, fill in the details and it will give you a date.
If you see my thread above, you'll see that you can only seemingly get any new upgrade deal online now, although I have followed Helen(Vodafone CS/Retentions) and if she is good she may be able to do something for you if the deals you see don't suit.
Good luck and as martin says in the video for doing try smiling when talking, dont demand, but ask nicely if there isn't something better that could be done! Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -
That is also my experience and even then 12 months down the line your bills may shoot up and when you call them they say something totally different to what was agreed at the time
Unfortunately I have just had the same experience. Spoke to person in retentions who offered me a deal that wasn't as good as Orange but I could live with for two phones. When phones arrived I discovered Vodafone records were different from our agreement. Spent a week trying to sort it out - some of their staff just put you off, pass you onto lines that just ring, say people will ring back or email and they never do. Eventually got onto someone who was helpful - admitted they couldn't honour the original agreement I think I got so I'm off to Orange!
I could have done without the hassle though and I wish I'd confirmed by email. I did ask whether they could listen to my original call to validate my claim - but apparently they don't record them all and not for this purpose. Makes me wonder what the basis of any contract is as their only record are the notes the salesperson makes.0 -
I've been told I can upgrade but only online?? Had a look and wanted the Nokia N900 but the deal I got offered was pretty pants, only available on a high tariff.
I have requested my PAC but they've advised it will take 48 hours?2p off is still 2p off!0 -

48 hours is standard. Saying you can only upgrade online is basically saying "you dont spend enough, we cant be bothered to deal with you"0
