people have got 600 min, unlimited text and internet for £10/month SIM only from vodafone, so stop put up with their BS!
Got offered this yesterday for my wife or as an additional contract, never took it as she already has a business contract but was told I could get it for whoever I wanted and I should just phone up 191 if I wanted it.
Wasn't replacing my own contract which still has 6mths to run but a good deal none the less.If at first you don't succeed - destroy all evidence that you tried.0 -
I have been offered a blackberry 9700 on a 18 month contract
700mins, 250texts, Unlimited landline, free internet, with the blackberry service
£37/m for the first 15 months and £40/m for the last 3 months
Is this a good deal?
Can I find something better?0 -
I got a call about 9 days ago from Retentions, but as I was on a train the line was cut off. They have not called be back since. I have my PAC and am tempted to use it this weekend as there are many other deals around, but want to see what Voda can offer.
How do I call them back, when I call the number that they used, I just get some sort of "not in service" message.0 -

Took a while to get to speak to them but they are obviously very busy at the moment. Once you do get a chat with them they will do all they can to ensure you are happy and stay with Vodafone.
Escapee, ensure you are talking to the right people. Web relations or retentions will have the most power to make you an offer you are happy with
Cheers to everyone in this thread for making the bargaining process clear to me :T0 -
Dilemma! I've been with Vodafone well over ten years (poss. 12-3), generally the level of service has been good. No major issues, other than even on a yearly basis, the amount of money I've handed over leaves me sweating with dread. In the past I used to spend ages doing research, finding the exact package I want and used to really enjoy doing it, especially when I got my new toy to play with.
However, with old age comes responsibility (marriage & kids), less time to do things, and even less money to do them. Past experience showed me that research and time is the only way you could get a good deal out of Vodafone. I don't have the energy and could do better things with the money.
There's nothing out there that particularly excites me, especially with the 24-month norm for contracts. I think in my current mindset, I'd be happy to go PAYG.
Given the Vodafone Retentions Team on here seem to have a high success rate in pleasing their customers, I'm hoping they can peak my interest with minimal fuss.
Only issues I have is around callback times, I have two jobs, so I can't really take calls easily or spend half an hour negotiating. I absolutely have no interest in playing games such as requesting PAC codes, and waiting for an eleventh hour call. You can't rev a car constantly getting ready for a new trip, only to switch off the engine two mins before you hit the highway!
Anyone who have had dealings with the Web Retention team, not asking for disclosures of packages, but how were they to deal with? and how happy were you really?
(off to put my name on the WRT's email list )0 -
Hi ~ Any chance we may get to know what you were offered in the end??
Don't ask, you don't get. However, looking at the 'happy posters' who have had the Web Retention Team experience. I suspect they've been asked not to disclose agreed packages, and quite rightly, they've respected that.
Only a guess, but a fair one.0 -

I don't think its a gr8 deal, sure you could barter more than that especially with this sort of deal around. Ok your deal is more minutes and 18mths instead of 24 but still not as good I think. If at first you don't succeed - destroy all evidence that you tried.0 -
Just off the phone to voda looking for a deal on upgrade.
Looking for the sony ericsson satio, unlimited texts and a couple of hundred mins on an 18 month contract. Currently paying £30 for 500 mins & ultd texts. Best deal that was offered was £35, no negotiation / incentives & tried to offer alternative phones.
My other half gets a deal through his work with 3 months half price line rental & a £125 credit to the account so deals can be done!
Have requested my PAC code. Will give web retentions a try as would rather not change, was happy with voda previously.0
