  • Spoke to my brother who has left vodafone after a good few years. He called vodafone to try to get a good deal on a new contract and was told that there was no room for movement whatsoever. He then went to O2 who offered him a deal for the same Iphone, minutes etc etc for £5 cheaper. Later Vodafone retentions phoned him back and said they would match his offer if he was to stay. After all the hassle he had gettting his code and phoning O2 and discussing a new deal he told vodafone thanks but no thanks.

    Maybe if they can give you a good deal BEFORE you go round everyone else to hunt for a new deal!!!

    What is clear is that ANY company will give you a better deal to defect and only after you are 5 minutes from leaving your current provider will they bother to offer you the same deal. I don't think i will play that game. I will see what the very best Vodafone will offer me and simply defect to get it £5 cheaper from someone like O2.

    I have deleted my post as I have just had a 20 min call from Vodafone who have now sorted my complaint out for me. Thanks Lee.

    I tried using the link to send an email to your web team voicing my issues, and stating that i'd give yourselves a chance to offer me a reason to stay before taking up the tesco iphone deal.....not surprisingly, the link returned an error (much like my previous experience of vodafone CS!) and I really couldn't be bothered writing all that out again.

    I called cancellations today to ask about the iphone and they said they couldnt change the prices taht are on the web site. If i got through that i can get £40 quidco so better deal. So before i go and order it has anyone had any deal on the iphone. My contract ends on sat am i just better to ask for my pac code and see if they will call and offer me somethong
  • My contracts up very soon and I'm going to be leaving Vodafone after about 10 years, I've basically been paying way over the odds the last 3 or 4 years for what I've been receiving and my upgrade options are always rubbish. My brother switched to an O2 iphone and hasn't looked back. Even without a discount, O2 offers unlimited browsing and has signal where i work.....it's a no brainer really

  • For all the vodafone bashing, of which I was one as per previous posting, a happy ending finally. Mailed the web retentions team and first thing this morning had Ian on the phone apologizing for the issues I had and a great offer for me to stay with them.
    Thanks to vodafone for replying through these pages and for publicly attempting to resolve problems.
