  • Hiya

I've been with vodaphone for a very long time my contract runs out in march I wanted to be able to stay with vodaphone but i'm pretty sick on having no signal in my home i have to be next to a window or standing on my front or back door to be able to get a signal. I certainly won't be paying £120 for a sure signal box either blinkin eck thats one hell of a price! I would like to think that vodaphone would be prepared to offer a decent offer other wise i think i will be going else where.

    Hi Vodafone Rep,

I am nearing the time when i can upgrade my phone. The last contract i took out was a 12 month contract(start date 5/5/09). I kept my phone from my previous contract(18 month). My contract is for 600 mins, Ultd Txts and Ultd Internet @ £17.50 PM.

When i took out this contract i was told that the earliest i could 'upgrade' was the 5/2/10. So in advance i will email your web retentions team and look forward to a response.

Ideally i want the Nokia N97 mini.

    Regards

not sure about the n97 mini, but was the n97 a nightmare problem phone with issues?
  • Most of the people and reviews for the N97 mini have been favourable, is this not the case then?
It was between the N97mini and the SE Satio, i just thought that Nokia edged it.
  • Hi Mobile Users,

Some quick advice from people no doubt better than me on phone info.
Looking to upgrade my SE w960i on the Vodafone network to either a N97 mini or the SE Satio.
Apart from the usual talking texting and web surfing i mostly use my phone as my mp3 player so a descent phone for that is important.

    What's your opinions folks.

Is there a better option that i haven't looked at? (No iPhone for me)

    Regards

  • The n97 mini and satio have the same operating system, Symbian. So the menu interface will be the same.

I have used the N97 mini and found it to be a very solid handset. In comparison I have also used "other" sony handsets and found the build quality to be really poor!

The n97 will be better for web surfing if you like to use a slide out keyboard or just keep it strictly touch screen. Best of both :), however i used the handset for a whole day on the internet and it needed recharging :(

The satio is probably only better in the camera department, but the pictures with the nokia is still good. However, i cant help you with the music department or the battery of the satio.

The only problem with Symbian is that its slow and sometimes it freezes for no apparent reason and require you to take the battery out and turn it back on. You might consider an android handset such as HTC hero... but vodafone doesnt offer it
  • Cheers PP!

Have never considered a HTC,didn't think they were any good for music.

I like your comments about the N97 mini, it backs up most of what i have heard.
  • Google Nexus, think it's coming to vodafone in a week or 2.

Android OS like the hero but with a much better screen etc.

(btw I love my HTC Hero)

Nokia E72, 24 month contract, 700 anytime minutes, unlimited landline, 250 texts, unlimited internet for £25 per month on vodafone. Any advice please. I was offered both n97 mini and e72 but the review on N97 was not so good.
    This is upgrade deal.
