Vodafone Retention Deals

From reading these posts i realise that i have been getting ripped off from vodafone and unless i get a good offer will definately be moving network. I have been with them for 14 years and currently i am nearing the end of a 24 month contract with 500 mins (i use on average 350), 250 texts (i use on average 200) but the worst part is that i pay an astonishing £7.50 per month for 500mb of data. Now considering i use the internet on my phone every day, sometimes for an hour at a time and i use on average 40mb of data per month. To sell me 500mb at £7.50 per month when i would have to be browsing every waking minute to use that amount is very poor.
Basically i have been paying £42.50 for 500mins, 250 Texts and 500mb data!!
I have also had many bad experiences with customer services not phoning back, solving problems etc.
As i am nearing the end of my contract i will most likely be requesting my code to move networks. I agree with many of the previous posts regarding poor customer service.0 -
Well iv become a happy customer. I just left o2 (8 years i was with them) to Vodafone. Only a sim only deal but i get:
600mins Unlimited Text and 500MB internet allowence which is enough for me for £15per month 12month contract.
Happy days.0 -

Thanks Kirsty. Hopefully I'll hear from someone soon then. Not heard anything so far.0 -
It seems the way companies are set up you get the best deals by jumping from one company to another, instead of being rewarded for customer loyalty. Its a shame the way the world turns0

Has anyone had any luck with reducing the iphone insurance cost?
I was all ready to pre-order my iphone a few weeks back and then just thought i would check that the insurance is the same price only to be told it was now £11, making the monthly payments much more than what I could afford! I know the difference doesn't seem much but when you add it all up and multiply that by the length of the contract it soon adds up!
Anyway that got me looking around for better deals. Am now considering leaving voda (after 11 yrs - 6 on contract, 5 PAYG) and getting iphone 3gs 16GB from Tesco for £440 (plus they do 12months 0% interest) and then going for one of the 30day sim contract that are around. Not locked in to any long contract and then when the 4th generation iphone comes out cash in the iphone on one of the mobile recycling sites.
Anyone got any recommendations?0 -
Wow you were lucky BellaLlew - we were quoted 12.99 p/m for insurance!0

Yeh, I think I'll be leaving shortly too. They have failed to provide good customer service one too many times in the last year or two, so I think it's time someone else got my custom.....just biding my time to see if I can find a decent I-phone deal elsewhere.October Comp Wins -Stella Artois Challice (FB)0
