I phoned and spoke to a Vodafone rep on Friday evening, who could not have been more helpful, my existing contract expired a couple of months ago, and was offered the Samsung 360 H1. I deliberately left upgrading until now, as I wanted the HD2 which Vodafone will no longer stock.
As I had to check out the H1 phones features, I did not wish to commit on Friday but the agent agreed to call me back yesterday (Sunday). On Saturday I had time to research the H1 and visit a store, this showed that that the H1 does not support the functions that are important to me. Sunday came and no call back by the Vodafone rep, so I have contacted the team this evening. I must have spoken to the most unhelpful, patronising and rude member of Vodafone staff. On the basis of this last contact I have been left fuming, and requested my PAC, such as shame when the other rep (Friday evening) and store manager (Saturday) were so helpful. So where too now....

    Right here goes:

Vodafone have really done my head in today

I changed a direct debit over 2 weeks ago now, and it affected one of my payments to vodafone which happens on the 7th of December. It took until TODAY to tell me that they had not received payment, and all my lines (5) received a lovely text of Vodafone stating " PLEASE RING THIS NUMBER BEFORE 5PM FOR CONTINUED USAGE ".

I was pretty worried, so my partner rang while at work. She was told it was over an outstanding amount of £12.20. This was due to the change of details which is fair enough. But why was I only notified today? My partner didnt have any card details with her to pay, and she doesnt get home from work till 6pm. She was told pay up before 5pm, or all lines cut off!!!!

I had to phone them while I was at work to pay the bill so all the 5 lines dont get cut off over £12. I was not happy. I have been a customer for 6 years, have 5 lines on the account and have never missed a payment, but this is how loyal customers get treated.

Funnily enough I have 2 lines due for upgrade right now. I am in 2 minds whether to cancel both of them, and then gradually cancel all my lines.

This is where a nice Vodafone rep can come into play and offer me some good deals!!! Up to you, but I think I will be requesting PAC codes for both lines tomorrow unless I get a really good deal on the handsets I want.

    Hi,

    I hope you can help...

I've been with Vodafone for about 7 years now and have just spent 18 months on £20-25 per month contract with 300 mins & unlimited texts and a Samsung Steel.

I've just rung Vodafone thinking that I might get a really good offer for my next contract because my last one wasnt such a good deal but the best they could offer me was:

    £19.57 per month for...
    300 mins
    Unlimited texts
    18 month contract
    £1 for a Nokia 6730 or £30 something for a Nokia 5800

How do I get the great deals that are being mentioned on here? My only must haves are that it must be a Nokia ('normal' phone, not flip or slider), I dont want to sign up for more than 18months and I need at least 300 minutes. I spoke to retentions (or at least I chose the option for 'Thinking of Leaving Vodafone'). My contract expires mid Feb so there's only 2 months to go.

I would rather upgrade now if I can because I really dislike my current phone and cannot wait to get a Nokia again! I would be willing to wait a month though if I could be sure that I would get a better deal.

    Any advice gratefully received.

    Thanks and Merry Christmas!

    Murray
