Vodafone Retention Deals

My contract ends at the end of December. Currently 125 mins and 250 texts at £20. I don't plan on paying any more than £10 a month. I've been offered 100 mins and 300 texts sim only 12 month contract for £10 a month. I didn't accept. Does anyone think I'll be offered anything better than this? I'd accept if they threw unlimited internet in as well though. This likely or not? Thanks0

I'm currently on PAYT having had a contract with Vodafone recently. I got my PAC code a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't find anything that I wanted really, so thought I'd try Voda one more time.
Anyway, manged to get the Samsung H1 phone, 300 mins, unlimited texts, internet for £20/month over 18 months. Doesn't seem to be a bad deal?something missing0 -
Hi, i am a really unhappy Vodafone customer. I will explain why below.
I requested my pac code to move providers i soon got it in the post with a letter. The letter said they were sad to see me go and to give them a call to see if they could keep me as a customer. I stupidly rang them on Monday 23/11/2009. The man i spoke to convinced me to stay with Vodafone on existing plan which is as follows 750min, internet (now included in my plan free),250 texts which he would increase to 1,000 stop the clock (had already)for £34.26 on my same length of contract i would get the htc hd2 + 16gb mem card for around £125 and that the htc hd2 would be coming in stock the following day. I am still waiting for the device to come in stock even today (30thnov!!). I called up Tuesday, wed, Thurs and Friday since i was told that it would definitely be in on Tuesday, then on thurs then Friday!!! Why did everyone lie to me about the stock? The lies even went as far as telling me the quantities they re getting ‘we will be getting 1000 units on Thurs then 2500 units on fri’. Each time i called to see if it was in stock the advisor would steal the previous advisors sales by saying would you like me to call you when its in stock later on today! I just want my phone please.

Hi usuf05
I can understand your annoyance.
We are currently having difficulties with the stock for the HD2. We have a post on our eForum that explains what is happening and instructions on how to register for stock updates.
I know its difficult when you're waiting for a phone you really want. As soon as the stock is available we'll be able to get your phone out to you.
All the best
Kirsty

I called a few days ago, the best the vodafone rep could offer me was the Satio phone on an 18 month contract, with unlimited internet and texts, and 300 mins for £35 a month. The offer for new customers is £30 for 600 mins, with unlimited texts and internet on an 18 month contract, so twice the minutes for less money!
Has anyone got a decent offer on this handset?0 -
I also like the Satio and Dialaphone were doing a deal but they took the phone off due to the problems with it crashing etc. Phoned Dial a phone today as a firmware patch has been created but thay have said they will not be selling it anymore.
Vodafone keep ringing me as I now have my PAC but the offers have been shoking I asked about the Blackberry Storm and they firstly offered 300 mins unlimited text and internet for £35 a month on 24 month contact which is worse then what new customers get.
They phoned the next day and told me the phone should be £174.00 but they would let me have it free and could offer a fantastic deal of £35 a month 24 month contract 600 mins and unlimited text and internet, basically the same as new customers.
They now phone around 5 times a day but im not keep answering the phone to receive stupid offers im off to orange with my PAC Code despite being with vodafone for 3 years.0 -
Well I got myself a very good deal yesterday with the Satio and Vodafone. The best offer they gave me originally was £30 on an 18 month contract (300 mins, unlimited texts + internet). I rejected this and asked for the PAC code. Then they rang me up yesterday for some more negotiation. They then made a new offer of £25 over 18 months, which I also rejected, and the final offer which I accepted I ended up getting a free Satio handset, 300 mins, unlimited texts + internet on just a 12 month contract for £35 a month. Total of £420 over the life of the contract, which was £120 less than their first offer, and £30 less than their second offer. So I'm very pleased. The guy said it was the most generous offer he had been allowed to give, and he didn't sound very happy about how cheap I had blagged it. Satio will be arriving later this afternoon, so I'm chuffed.0

If I had been offered that deal then I would have stayed with them to theyve got until the weekend and if not, then im off to orange and having the Omnia HD.0

@jennieflower and toryboy - with the Satio being pulled from CPW and Phones4U due to a number of complaints re: software problems, I'd be reluctant to take a contract for this handset..."Who throws a shoe, honestly?"
