I got this as a new customer by ringing up. Wanted a sim only but didn't mind staying for 18 months.
I got:
900 Anytime Minutes
Unlimited Text
Unlimited Landline Calls
Unlimited Internet
18 Months
£15 a month sim only.
Can't complain0 -
Hi,
In the end I took the HTC Hero on T-Mobile Combi20 with Web + Walk.
So basically I get:
£25 per month for 18 months
200 mins
200 texts
Unlimited (1GB) web
Free HTC Hero
£25 cashback from retailer
£40 Quidco
Works out £21.38 per month with cashbacks
I wasn't bothered about masses of minutes and texts - at the moment I have 100 mins which I usually go over by about 20 mins so 200 will be plenty. I also currently have unlimited texts but rarely use more than about 100 - 150.
I just really wanted a cheap rate and unlimited web.
Happy with the result and my phone is sat at home waiting for me.
I did read elsewhere (and perhaps on here too) that Voda were doing the Magic for £17.50 a month on 18 months. A few times (like this morning) they have called but rather than ask what deal I was leaving for then try to beat it, they just said "is there any offer at all I can make to keep you with us" but I just couldn't be bothered any more.
MORPH3US
Can you tell me please who that deal was with?
PS whats the phone like?0 -

The deal is with affordable mobiles.... link is http://www.affordablemobiles.co.uk/contract-mobile-phones/t-mobile/combi-20-+-web-n-walk/t-mobile/g2/7069137.html
Don't forget Quidco £40 as well as their £25 cashback.
Phone is amazing... just rooted mine and put a custom rom on it but you don't have to do that. Applications are amazing too.0 -
Thanks
I am expecting a call from retentions very soon, currently have 12 month contract, 75 mins, 100 texts, stop the clock and passport for a tad under £14 a month, like the HTC Hero but I am aware that Vodafone directly dont offer it so may try for the HTC Magic.....would like a few more extra mins, texts and internet for £20 tops for 12 month contract, failing that then £17-18 for a 18 months!!0 -
I've requested my PAC code from Vodafone with every intention of switching cos the service hasn't been great over last few years I've been with them. Whilst asking for PAC I was offered SE Satio with 300 mins, unlimited texts and internet over 24 months for 24.47 per month. Ideally I wanted an 18 month contract so I've said no. Should I stick to my guns and hope Retentions call me or have I said no to a good deal?
Stick to your guns and keep asking for the PAc code. I got mine in the end they gave in.:j0 -
does anyone know how sim only 30 day contract works?
i have two contract phones which i'm out of contract period and with old price plans they are pretty rubbish.
thought is can i change to sim only - 30 day contract (assuming it implies to what the title is). as i want to reduce my bills for next few months, while wait and see what voda offer on iphone tariff, if it's rubbish i'll leave and go with orange on a friends and family discounted account0 -
Got my phone call today at 1250hrs and after a lot of talking of what else I could get from other companies I was offered and took the following,
HTC magic
300 mins
unlimited texts
unlimited web
18 month contract
£23 a month
Currently pay £14 a month for 75 mins, 100 texts on a 12 month contract so for an extra £9 a month I get the above. Happy with that as other offers to get it for £22 a month involved either cashback and or quidco.0 -
phone them got the deal
HTC HD 2 Free
300 mins
unlimited texts
unlimited web
18 months contract
£29 a months
is it ok still consider 2 more days for contract expire

The upgrades will all be sh*te mate... only chance of getting a good deal if on retentions.
You can request your PAC code at any point but have to pay up your remaining contract.
What most people don't know is if you cancel your contract early then you only have to pay up your contract MINUS VAT and MINUS 25%.
So if you are on £30 a month contract and leave with 60 days to go then you only have to pay £37.13 rather than £60.
wanna get out of my contract with vodafone,i am on my upgrade day today,so 70 days to go.....can i ring up and request my PAC code now?how do i receive the code and how long does it give me to port it somewhere else before it expires?is the minus VAT and minus 25% off my monthly tariff i have to pay to get out my remaining time actualy true?of course i will probably get someone who knows nothing about any of that when i call lol0 -
my o/h did not receive any call from vodafone n pac code expire on 20th and he will go for lphone 3gs been over 15 yrs with vodafone
