Vodafone Retention Deals

This is a standard deal available everywhere.
For example, if you sign up from the mobiles dot com you will get
£40 quidco
+ possible £135 cashback
or £50 Auto Cashback
or Free Nintendo Wii Fit
or Free Sony DAB Radio
In the best case you can get £175 back in cash, which make the monthly cost down to £7.71. Otherwise a straightforward £50 cashback or other freebies is still better than Voda's "retention" deal.
So is this deal good or not then as been offered this too.... Raeely pees me off as was paying £25 for less mins and texts! Have read bad reviews on the W595 too but to be honest just want the lowest tarrif as im now a stay at home mum0 -

Refering to the W959 I think it depends what you want it for. I've had no problems with mine, and I generally like it as a walkman phone. Saying that I've only had it 2 months, so anything could happenTSB: £4900
Virgin: £4700
Today is the first day of the rest of my life...0 -
Right, i have taken a deal on the Satio from Dial-a-phone.
Free Phone
300 min
unlimited txt
unlimited internet
£40 a month (33.75 after cashback)
£75 cashback
12 month contract
£50 from topcashback site should bring the monthly price down to £29.50 a month.
It can't be bad can it.;)0 -
Hi,
That would mean he pays £4.70 extra for 6 months, so in total £28.20. Basically you pay £28.20 to upgrade/end the contract 6 months early!
I was on the phone to Voda yesterday and was offered:
Free Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition
600 minutes + txts
£20 a month for 18 months
The only condition was that I had to take out the insurance for a month which can be cancelled!
Is that a good deal? I like the W715 for 12 months deal...going to mention it to them today, god willing!
Hi, maybe i didnt quite understand but not sure where you got the £28.20 figure from?0 -
Hi,
I've asked for my PAC code as the contract is up now. Hopefully will receive some decent offers though i'm not holding my breath for it.
Was thinking about the iphone but the deals seem to be as poor on Orange as on O2 and i have a feeling Voda wont be much better either.
Am tempted to go through one of these cashback sites and maybe go for the automatic cashback option where they just pay you back in one lump sum, hmmm choices choices, lol.
Morph, are you still around?? any luck with your deal?0 -

Hi mate, thats not bad at all on a 12 month contract. Did your cashback track ok? have you got the phone yet?
I must say i had a look at the satio but it felt more like a psp than a phone lol.0 -

Hi,
In the end I took the HTC Hero on T-Mobile Combi20 with Web + Walk.
So basically I get:
£25 per month for 18 months
200 mins
200 texts
Unlimited (1GB) web
Free HTC Hero
£25 cashback from retailer
£40 Quidco
Works out £21.38 per month with cashbacks
I wasn't bothered about masses of minutes and texts - at the moment I have 100 mins which I usually go over by about 20 mins so 200 will be plenty. I also currently have unlimited texts but rarely use more than about 100 - 150.
I just really wanted a cheap rate and unlimited web.
Happy with the result and my phone is sat at home waiting for me.
I did read elsewhere (and perhaps on here too) that Voda were doing the Magic for £17.50 a month on 18 months. A few times (like this morning) they have called but rather than ask what deal I was leaving for then try to beat it, they just said "is there any offer at all I can make to keep you with us" but I just couldn't be bothered any more.0 -

I cancelled that deal as i rang them and asked for the PAC code. The person i spoke to was not interested to improve the deal. Having requested the PAC i got a phone call from their retention team who could offer this deal for me as an upgrade.
300 min
unlimited txt
unlimited internet
18 months contract
£25 per month
Free handset and i asked for a 16GB card which i got.
And i get to keep the number.
So i have signed on the dotted line and phone is being delivered tomorrow.
I went and cancelled the Dial-a-phone deal.

Yeah i know what you mean, they've been rubbish this time around in trying to keep customers.
Did you go directly with a t-mobile shop then? have you tried out the hero yet? what do you think of it?0 -
