Unfortunatly once paper work received from Vodafone confirming order, the two are ever more becoming different to what was ordered.
Legally from when the "confirming paper work arrives" you have seven days to cancel not from when phone arrives. However for the second time I checked this info, and the 3rd time i was told NO, from receipt of phone which I asked him to check, and again confirmed receival. (Maybe someone who is a 110% in the know could answer this)
    Check carefully.
I received mine the other day and it was a total of £120 over the year wrong in compparison to what was offered.
Getting back to the right person who initially aranged it, is more aless imposible
I eventually got talking in my 4th telephone call to someone who confirmed they would send me the correct confirmation. But untill that arrives i am tied to the first wrong confirming mail
Be it the second time I have recorded the conversation with points verbelly clarified
My advise also is record the final agreement statment
Vodafone themselves should do this to protect themselves also, thus irradicating problems for all
In todays "digital call centre world" this is not impossible but becoming more the norm
  • My contract has ended with Vodafone after many years. I have been unimpressed with their customer service this year so intend to change provider. I have been looking for deals on the N97 mini and the best I have found is:

    Free handset
    18 month contract
    600 cross network minutes
    3000 texts
£25 per month (dolphin £35 deal but £10 off per month)

Do you think this sounds a good deal?

That is a really good deal, where did you find it?

I have phoned voda a few times to day and the best deal i have got from retentions was free Nokia N97 mini, 300 mins, unlimited text, unlimited internet for £30 on 18month contract.

I think ill phone tomorrow and ask for my PAC code.
  • Oh dear,

Can't seem to find it now. It was on the phones4u website last night. I was sure it was free handset but all I can find now is £100 handset and all of the above. Did i dream it?

I've requested my PAC code from Vodafone with every intention of switching cos the service hasn't been great over last few years I've been with them. Whilst asking for PAC I was offered SE Satio with 300 mins, unlimited texts and internet over 24 months for 24.47 per month. Ideally I wanted an 18 month contract so I've said no. Should I stick to my guns and hope Retentions call me or have I said no to a good deal?
  • Vodafones online/in store upgrades are awful. In store I was offered for £25 free HTC Tattoo, 75 minutes, 250 texts unlmited internet for 24 months. I laughed because I thought she was joking when she offered me this! Went to the orange shop across the road and saw I could get for £25 a HTC Tattoo, 200 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb internet, 24 months.
Went back to vodafone store and was told they don't do in store price match. Rang 191 and said I was leaving straight away I was offered for £25 Tattoo, 600 mins, unlimited text and unlimited broadband for 24 months, he wouldn't budge down to 18 months though. This in reality the best deal you can probably get for this phone so I had no real more leverage. (This being my first ever experience of contract renewals). Everything is confirmed by text and email and I also have the reps email address if there any probs.
