Has anyone got a good retention deal on a Blackberry 8900 Curve recently?0

Well done Nomoredebtnow for holding out. Like you said, you don't have to justify why you want a 12m or who else does offer 12m deals... at the end of the day if you want a 12m contract they have two choices, offer you a deal on a 12m or let you leave....
There are some right cheeky fu*kers working in these call centres.
So what was the end result, are they giving you your PAC code and are you waiting for them to call back with a better offer.
One option is to tell them you are going to Virgin mate, they do cheap 12m contracts just not for very good phones.
Mobiles 2 Your Door, e2save, mobiles.co.uk all do 12m contracts, some of them even on Vodafone so it just shows they are full of bullsh*t..... it pees me off though that they are LYING to customers... its not on.0 -
Hello all, I'm new here and I have some questions.
I'm looking at getting the HTC Hero (not pink). My current 12 month vodafone (£35/m) contract ends on 26/10. I like vodafone's reception so I think I'm going to stick with them.
Is this a good deal and will it actually work (i.e. no problems with getting cashbacks?)
#1- Nokia 1650 (Voda 600mins/unltd texts, with mobile internet, 24 months) Effective £12.54/m (e2save)
- Take out sim card
- HTC Hero + SD = £400 (Amazon)
#2- Nokia 1650 (Voda 600mins/unltd texts/18mths) Effective £6.55/m (e2save)
- Take out the sim card
- Get internet on sim card for extra £5/m (Vodafone)
- HTC Hero + SD = £400 (Amazon)
#3- HTC Hero Brown (Voda 600mins/unltd texts, with mobile internet, 24 months), Handset will be free and contract will effectively be £31.35/m (e2save)
#4
Or directly from Vodafone termination department:- 600 mins/unltd texts, with "unlimited internet" (5gb FUP), 12-24 months, £20/m.
- HTC Hero + SD = £400 (Amazon)
The idea of going directly with vodafone for the contract seems to be the most hassle-free. But deal #2 seems like it would work but seems hassle-full (dealing with cashbacks, then worrying if they will validate cashbacks because of the added £5 internet monthly extra). What do you guys suggest?0 -
Why not just get a decent cashback deal on the Hero directly mate rather than messing around buying it from Amazon and then still having to do cashbacks anyway.0

So are you suggesting that deal #3 is the one to go for? i.e. 31 quid per month for 24 months? I was hoping to get it around 20 per month. Over 30 is way too expensive.
And also, I don't get how it's a deal on HTC Hero on Vodafone when they don't even carry that handset. Vodafone people don't even know about the Hero. How does that work?0 -
There is no deal on HTC hero on Vodafone co uk but on mobilephone direct
SUN PREPAID| Limit £O - balance £800CR
JD WILLIAMS | Limit £320---£800 - balance £10
Next | Limit £3500 - balance £ 0
Savings - £33500 -

Voda dont do the handset directly but third party companies can do the deal, it is stupid but thats how it is.
I saw your list of deals and you should keep in mind though that 24months is a long time to be tied into a contract, it really puts me off anyway.
I'm in my last 9 days of my contract finishing now and retentions havent offered me anything remotely decent, so looks like i might be moving on.0 -
Hi guys
i'm in the last month of my contract with Vodafone and have phoned customer services for an upgrade as I desperately need more than the 150 mins (with stop the clock) and 500 texts I currently get for £20 a month.
I've been a customer for the past 6 years and all they seem to be able to offer me are the contracts on their website - £20 for 300 mins, 500 texts, 18 months or £25, 900 mins, unlim texts, 24 months.
I'd be grateful if anybody had any advice for me on whether to accept either of these deals or had any ideas about how to get a better deal.
Thanks in advance

Is that with a phone or not jsw?
IMHO those offers aren't great unless you are getting a good phone with them....
I would tell them you want to leave, request my PAC code and then wait for them to call you back in a week or two.
They will not make you a decent offer unless they really think you are going to leave. Think about it, if someone called up and said they wanted to upgrade, you'd try and squeeze as much cash out of them as possible because by saying they want to upgrade, they have already admitted that they are happy with Vodafone and want to stay with them.... so they give out a crap offer, some fools take it first time, some bargain a bit, get a few quid off and are happy thinking they got them self a deal.0
