Its an average offer to be honest. You could do better especially since i've heard the samsung jet has had various issues with it. It's not too bad a deal though, it just depends how willing you are to push them...

just received my first call from vodafone, my contract is finishing on the 7th november. he offered the htc magic, 600 mins, unlimited texts and internet for £25/month on 24 MONTHS.

Do you think i can get better?

I mentioned how other people have got this deal for £20/month on 18 month contract- he was having none of it and insisted this was not possible.

tommy_ Now way. you can easily get that cheaper.

It's £30 on the vodafone website, that tarriff. Plus you get £90 quidco, which effectively means hes knocking £5 for the last 6 months - pathetic reallly.

i got 600 mins UL texts Vodafone passport , i never use the net on my phone, for the princely sum off £9.78 give or take a penny or two , 12 month contract..

Yeah, I'm a newbie to Vodaphone....I was given a 24 month contract £20.00 per month, 300 mins, U/limited texts and WAP, plus the Nokia 5800.....this is better than O2 are willing to give on retention!!! Save £100!!

I found the Vodafone delivery service by DPD Deliveries was absolutley rubbish.....They need to sort it out....DPD....get a map on your website!

As I said above mate, tell them you can get the HTC Hero on a 24 month contract for £18 a month (its a cashback deal but don't tell them that unless they ask).

The Hero is a much better phone than the Magic so you should be aiming for £18 a month IMHO.

They will tell you it can't be done, they'll lose money on it, they aren't allowed to give discounts that big yada yada yada...

Its just a case of how far you want to push them... it usually takes at least 3 calls from them to me before I get the deal I want.

1st choice is the n97. I logged into the vodafone site to check for an upgrade and it says im eligible for one. Anyway on my current £25 a month they want £264.89 up front

I've pretty much given up on VF retentions, I have found an excellent deal on a 12 month contract, should get delivery tomorrow (Sat) If it all pans out I'll post details of the deal (12 months contract, 12 months cashback)
