However, I'm also with O2 CPW and they have offered me 400mins, 1000txts and 1 free bolton £30 per month plus £450 cashback therefore £5 per month over 18 months

If thats correct then thats an amazing deal... sounds too good to be true.....

Is that 12m or 18m Nigel?

I assume 12m? If its 18m the its a rubbish deal IMHO.

    It's 24!

They said if I can find a better deal they will try to match it but I need to find one!

IMHO that is a absolutely shocking deal... if they had offered me that i'd tell them where they can stick it if they didn't want my custom....

Assuming you aren't bothered about your network and can settle for slightly less minutes and texts... have a look at this:

    http://www.buymobilephones.net/mobile-phones/HTC/T-Mobile-G2-Touch-Black/T-Mobile/T-Mobile-Combi-20-(18mths)-Free-Web-n-Walk-Plus-for-G-Series/1008514

Its not the Magic, but the Hero = better phone. On T-Mobile, 200 mins, 200 texts, 3GB data (loads more than you got offered), free phone, 18 month contract = £25 a month (plus £10 auto cashback and Quidco).

That is a straight £25 a month too, no cashback claims to mess about with.

This is a FAR superior deal.

Yeah, its not that good a deal. It's gonna cost me £90 over 18 months, with no phone!

Anyway, got a result with vodafone right now. 700mins, 250txts, unlimited landline calls, £17.50 per month, with HTC Tatoo and 16GB micro SD 18 months.

Total cost of £315, sell on ebay for around this mark. Total cost close to zero!
  • At the risk of being laughed out of the forum, was quite pleased today to receive yet another call from Vodafone retentions (probably the fourth since I got my PAC), and they finally gave me what I was after.

N97 12Month 600 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited mobile Internet - Free Handset - for £45 a month. (for some irrational reason I can't explain, it was vital to me to have a 12M contract)

Had seen a very similar offer on Dialaphone but with an upfront cost of £20.

    Friendly bloke too.

Cheers for this, I'll go back to them with this and if they won't budge then it looks like this will be the deal for me

Whoops, sorry I thought that deal you posted was with a HTC Magic for some reason.... don't know where I got that from.

Sounds like a good deal on the Tattoo... i'll be looking for something similar on the Magic but over 12 months (and don't need all those minutes but want data).

    Hey Tyler,

How long are you away from your contract end now? have you had any luck finding anything else?

Hey Rash, thats a pretty good deal there. How many callbacks from retentions before you got this deal? and how far from your pac code expiring was it?

They've finally called me back trying to offer the tattoo at £25 for 24months with 300mins, i thought thats rubbish.

One guy from voda called me saying its an entry level budget handset, the next one tried to sell it as the latest and greatest thing lol.

I'd prefer a magic. Oh well, 2 weeks to go before pac code expires, time to seriously start looking i think.
