I'm coming to the end of a 12 month contract @ £35 pm, would a Nokia 5800 @ £10 pm be possible for 12 months (would consider 18 months if I could get more mins/txts)0 -
Hi,
I'm coming to the end of my voda contract this month, I've requested a pac code and been given it, voda outbound team called me up but offered me some very poor deals and said they couldnt match what i wanted, which was basically along the lines of what other people on here have managed to get.
I havent heard anything back from them for a few days now and my contract finishes in about 3 weeks. Does anyone think that they just give up calling some customers or should i expect something in the next few weeks. What are your experiences with this?
If they dont call, is there an outbound team that i can get through to, as whenever i call cancellations they're still offering me rubbish deals.
Cheers0 -

They always seem to offer rubbish deals to start with, mine were. They stopped phoning me, so I just rang back and jogged their memories that I was thinking of leaving and the calls started again. In the end I got the deal i wanted by ringing the 0808 number that came with the PAC code
Get them to email any offer you are interested in though, as I spent the 7 day cooling off period sorting out the bits that were not as agreed on the phone.
It's still not quite the offer I accepted, but I got to the point were I couldn't be bothered to argue over 54p a month, and began to sound really sad and petty! But I'm sure if it was the other way round Vodafone wouldn't just let it slide!!0 -
Vodafone have changed they way they do retention deals, it's no longer based on "Reinvestment Value" but rather profit.0

Hmm, i know the few times that I did talk with the customer service or retentions teams they kept saying well it doesnt matter if you've had high bills in the past its all about future profit. Not sure if thats what Thomas means.
Still it doesnt explain how some people are offered 12/18 month deals with a free phone and low line rental but others arent?
Hopefully they get back to me with a better deal in the next few weeks, else its bye bye voda0 -
Well I called retentions today and requested my PAC code(s), all they offered me was the same deals available on the website for a new customer, I politley declined, I just hope they up the offer somewhat0

Hey Tyler, let us know how you get on, I havent been offered anything better yet, so will seriously think of leaving them. Though doubt i'll go with any dodgy cashback mobile phone companies, probably something through quidco instead.0

Ha ha :rotfl: Sorry, I just rotfl at that one.
To be honest mate, done properly, you are more likely to get cashback through the reputable phone companies than you are through Quidco.
Quidco can decline you without giving a reason and you can't do a thing. The mobile companies can be taken to court if they try it on (and you have correctly jumped through all of their hoops)0
