Hi Morpheus, whats your current situation, when do you plan to upgrade?

    I'm looking for something similar?

I am able to request my PAC code on the 8th November so counting down the days... after that I will refuse all offers (as I have no doubt they will deny they can offer me what i want) and then wait for retentions to call me back...

I am looking to stay on a 12 month contract which won't be easy but i've never had more than that and never want more.

My preference of phone will be HTC Hero, HTC Magic, HTC Tattoo in that order. There are various other phones I would also like but ubnlikely to get for cost reasons or because they aren't on Voda.... i.e. iPhone, HTC Leo, possibly Acer A1.... maybe Moto DEXT...

So basically I want 12m contract, under £20 a month and free web plus about 200 mins and 200 texts....

Not pushing my luck at all there then :D

My current phone is a Nokia 6210 Navigator and I got that for £16 a month with unlimited texts and 100 mins for 12 months, so never say never :T

offer the tattoo at £25 for 24months with 300mins, i thought thats rubbish.

Definately agree with you on that one. The T-Mobile Pulse is only £180 on PAYG which is a much better phone (although if you can get one on PAYG you're doing well, but they don't have to know that).

IMO if they had offered you the same deal over 12 months I still wouldn't take it, nevermind 24 months.

LOL, you dont ask for much do you? ;)

I've always been a 12 month person too and have already got my pac code, retentions have called a couple of times but their offers are very poor i'm afraid.

I dont think voda do the HTC hero directly? so dont think you'll get that one.

I'm waiting for the next callback to see if they can improve their offer but am having to start seriously looking elsewhere now just in case.

    Me either, i'd aim for a magic on a 12 month for around £20 p/m or 18 for £17.50 p/m.

Will see how low they go before i leave.

    Hi,

My contract expired a month ago and theyve phoned me 4 times I just hadnt had time to look at handsets, anyway I was on a 12 month contract 200 mins 100txts and STC with a nokia 6300 for £10.

They said I can have the same contract with no handset for £12 a month or for £24 with a handset, as they are not allowed now to discount plans if you have a handset, does anyone know if this is true as i dont want to waste my time trying to get a half price contract and handset if theres no chance.

Ive had half price and a phone for the past 4 years now always on 12 months.

    Thanks

    Hey Tyler,

How long are you away from your contract end now? have you had any luck finding anything else?

I've still a couple weeks on my current contract(s), got another call from Vodafone tonight, they offered me the 5800 18mths @ £14 odd pm or £20 / 12mths. The guy got a bit shirty when I asked for a few days to consider it, told him I wasn't going to decide on the spot, he tried to press me into the deal and said I wouldn't be offered any more deals, I told him if that the case then thats the end of it and finished the call

Was that their first offer xtn35x? How long are you from leaving? Seems like an ok offer but not great.

@ kaza - "can't discount plans anymore" sounds like horse cr ap to me... could be wrong though, but in that position I would say the same thing if I was trying to keep you on a high tariff (to earn myself a bonus)

Lol sounds like retentions to me. I've had to do the same a few times. funnily whenever i quote someone from this forum whose been able to get a great deal, the usual response i've heard is, if someone did that, they'd have been sacked.

I'm wondering if its all garbage or whether they really cant offer any good deals anymore.
