I rang Vodafone direct and managed to haggle a contract with a salesperson that I'm happy with. I'm now worrying after reading some horror stories on here that Vodafone may not keep their word. I agreed to the following (and made her repeat it many times too!):
24 month contract at £20 a month
700 minutes
250 texts
unlimited landline calls
unlimited internet (well probably capped)
a nokia n85
I already had a PAYG sim card from vodafone and so apparently the contract will be on this number too. The phone is apparently being delivered tomorrow or possibly Wednesday but I'm going on holiday tomorrow night (My parents will be at home to sign for it so I don't need to worry about that).
Will there be a letter with it saying exactly how much I'm paying and what for? Is there anyway I can find out now? I'm probably panicking over nothing but its the first thing like this I've signed up for!:o
Hi purplehibiscus,
Have you received confirmation of your deal yet?
If not and you'd like to get some reassurance that everything is okay just email your details to us using the 'Contact us' form on our website here.
When sending the email you'll also need to include a link to thread within the body of it and state the code WRT135 in the subject line to make sure it comes through to us.

I've just had a call from Retentions (?) at Vodafone re my request for my PAC. I told her I was going to o2 and getting 800 x net, U/L texts and UL Land line calls. After the Quidco cashback of £100, this comes to £11.16 PM.
Nice young lady offered me a 12 month contract with 700 x net, UL land-line calls and texts for £9.75 per month (Sim only).
I was also offered a 12 month deal to include my wife at 600 x net and UL texts for £19.58 per month for the two Sims. (No phones included in either deal).
Any advice on these deals? Should I chance the Quidco Cashback and go to o2 or stay with Voda?0 -

Thanks for the reply!
I am on a 30 day rolling contract, paying £14.58 per month. Getting 600 mins x net and UL texts. I was paying £20 PM but got them to reduce it some 3 months ago. I use 400 mins PM and about 20 texts.
I'm thinking of just paying line rental on my home phone and then use my mobile a lot more.
To confuse things even more, my home phone and BB is with Talk Talk and I was thinking of going to BT for the phone and then o2 for the BB. I'm paying TT £28-£30 PM but I'm also paying Virgin £18 PM for phone (which I don't use!) and basic TV (analogue).
I need to reduce my outgoings.
Any advice welcomed. Thanks0 -

Hi
The retentions dept has just phoned me offering me the sim only deal of 600 minutes, unlimited txts, unlimited internet for £15 per month. Is this a good deal or should I hold out for better?
Thanks for your help0 -
