If letter does not explain, you could always phone them and confirm?
Or register the number on their web site and you can check out your online account.
  • I tried the website option but the number is my current PAYG one and so its still showing my grand total of 6p credit! I shall just have to hope it arrives tomorrow and there's a letter.

The online will change eventually if you are already registered.
Quit worrying, you have right to cancel in first 14 days.

And if you dont like the phone, you can give it to me TA.

I finally sorted out a mobile contract for myself on Friday night after thinking it over for a long time (I asked on here for advice months ago!).

I rang Vodafone direct and managed to haggle a contract with a salesperson that I'm happy with. I'm now worrying after reading some horror stories on here that Vodafone may not keep their word. I agreed to the following (and made her repeat it many times too!):
    24 month contract at £20 a month
    700 minutes
    250 texts
    unlimited landline calls
    unlimited internet (well probably capped)
    a nokia n85

I already had a PAYG sim card from vodafone and so apparently the contract will be on this number too. The phone is apparently being delivered tomorrow or possibly Wednesday but I'm going on holiday tomorrow night (My parents will be at home to sign for it so I don't need to worry about that).

Will there be a letter with it saying exactly how much I'm paying and what for? Is there anyway I can find out now? I'm probably panicking over nothing but its the first thing like this I've signed up for!:o

This seems like legit deal dont worry you would have got it from retentions, The internet on Vodafone is 500 meg fair usage, Your unlimited land lines are 3000 mins fair usage, You usually get the letter within 14 days. Hope this helps

do u get mobile internet ?
  • Funny you should ask, it wasn't a concern when I ordered but I have pencilled in today to ring and ask the question. I'm not fussed if I do or don't but I did wonder what I get as I noticed a Facebook app on the new handset :rotfl:I'll report back my findings.
