I have done and they are posting it to me. Does everyone get this call? The guy I spoke to made no effort to keep me, only offering what I could get cheaper as a new customer (taking into consideration Quidco). Last time I called them (a few months ago) I was offered an OK deal but wasn't able to take it at the time.
Thanks.
I have just agreed on the following:
BlackBerry Curve 8900
600 mins
Unlimited text
Vodafone internet
Blackberry service
£45.00 per month with £17.50 discount
= £27.50 for 18 mth on 18 mth contract.
What do people think? Baring in mind I am upgrading from a sim only 30 day deal with Vodafone and I always use nearly all my minutes calling other networks so I am not their "ideal" customer lol.

Not sure who told you it was £45? Looking on voda site it comes in at £30 although that is 24mth. I am not sure they have given you much more?
Looking at it the £45 was for 1200mins over 18mthThe measure of love is love without measure0 -

I thought that, she said it was some old tariff which she can reduce. The deal I agreed on is £35 pm for new customers, so £27.50 pm after the discounts which I do not think is bad. I insisted the manager e-mails me the deal which he did and she discussed several times what the offer was for so let's hope it matches the documentation which comes, have I done what I should have by requesting they e-mail?

Beware of vodafone retentions team - bunch of liars
I took simonly monthly contract with Vodafone at Paddington station store. Nice guy gave me one free pay as you go sim card as well. In a 2 weeks time I thought I do not need it so I gave notice to cancel it after a month. My plan was to take long term contract so that I can save money on phone.
Few days after I got call from a lady from Vodafone retentions team and she gave me 12 months contract with E71 for 15 Pounds per month. This deal includes 600 min and unlimited texts. I confirmed this atleast 3 times that it is 12 month contract and total money that I will pay will be 180 pounds for whole contract duration. I agreed to this deals and I got the phone as well. Since online account showed 10 Months Half Price Rental, customer service gave me credit of 30 pounds for last 2 months of my contract. I could see my contract renewal date (the date when i will be eligible for next upgrade) as 10th May 2010. So far so Happy.
I just asked can they transfer my 3 network number to vodafone so that I can use one number instead of two. Vodafone agreed to do it as a favour as they do not transfer after sim card is activated. Finally my 3 network number was also transfered to vodafone.
All my online account details were deleted and register again with new same vodafone account number. When I logged in I could see my new number is also updated. Surprisingly contract renewal date (the date when i will be eligible for next upgrade) is changed to 12 December 2010. I called customer service to check with them and .....
I am told that I am on 18 month contract. I explained to them it is software glitch and they should revert back to old details. After an hour of talks, Finally I am asked to return the phone to vodafone as they cannot honour the deal. Reason given to me is they will not make any money from the deal they gave me. They did try to give me additional 3 months half price rental.
Any way they are collecting the phone next tuesday. I am really worried about my PAC code. I hope they donot mess up my PAC code now.
Morals of the story -
Always record calls with dogdy vodafone customer services.
Always confirm again what you are getting in an email.
Take screenshot of your online account and if you find change immediately call customer services.
Finally - Leave vodafone ! :mad:0 -
i asked for my pac code and they just said they'll send it out to me without really offering me anything back.. whats the chances i'll get a call back?0

If you are out of your contract or close to reaching the minimum term, you should be getting a call from retentions (an 0808 number if I can recall correctly).Try to imagine nothing ever existed...0 -
I was offered on sim only 900 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited landline and internet for £30 over 18 months. The only difference to that and if i was to walk off the street is the unlimited landline calls and 18 months instead of 12. When i said no, he said he 'might' be able to get it down to 12 months. Not impressed.0

What people dont understand is yeah they want the best deal however the agents want commison so they have to make a profit so the longer the contract the more profit they will get and the more commision the will get, Doing that deal over 12 month would not have gave him much profit as the tariffs have a promo cost and the cost of that would be very high0 -

Yes, i understand that, but they were only chucking in unlimited landline calls, and expecting me to sign up for an additional 6 months. As i have yet to go over 900 mins ever, there is no benefit to me in agreeing to an extra 6 months as the unlimited landline calls wouldn't effectively be used, but the benefit to vodafone is 6 more months at £30.
While i may not be their most profitable customer, i would like to think retentions were at least trying to make an effort.
Were i to change to orange for example for the same price but on a 30 day rolling contract i would get 1200 mins, 500 texts, unlimited landline and internet. Ok, only 500 texts, but More than enough for me, and i can opt out at any time with 30 days notice. Vodafone don't offer anything significantly different and want 18 months of my life. 12 months if i'm 'lucky'0 -
I noticed in todays metro the retention 'offer' they gave me yesterday, but new customers also get a phone. gets increasingly less attractive everyday!0
