    Well just got a call from retentions and they offered the following;

    Nokia 5800
    100 mins
    500 texts
    Extra 8GB card.
    Bluetooth Headset
    18 month contract

Quite happy with this, and they will deliver tomorrow.
Money, money, money. It's great....but don't spend it all at once!

Would apprecaite your thoughts as its renewal (or leave) time at the end of the month for me.

    my last deal was:
    12 mths
    600 mins
    Unlimited text
    Unlimited internet
Tocco (newish out at the time)
    £22.50 per month

Quite like the the look of the Jet, Nokia 5800 or HTC Magic. I'm willing to give up some mins and txt as my usage tends to be <200 of each, but want to keep internet.

Anyone think what sort of deal I'd be able to get? any negotiation advice?

    Any thoughts are welcome

I have a N95 8gb at present and am able to upgrade from December. My contract ends in February 2010.

At present, I am on 500 minutes and 100 texts for £30.00 on an 18 month contract.

I want an N97 but want more minutes and more texts for the same money.....any chance ?

I think it's best to just wait until December and see what deals are available (and get more recent information from this thread). The market for mobile phones is very volatile and six months from now there would have been many significant changes.

For example, if the N97 doesn't do well it might no longer be available by then. Or perhaps a new mobile phone model will appear that you would like better.

I think they would put you on a 18month or 24 month term to get the HTC Magic,

try sticking with your last deal and just selling which ever phone they give you, and put some more money in and get the phone you want,

They're all quite high spec and new phones that you are after and to get you're current contract spec (eg, mins, texts etc) you would probably be looking at the 18-24 month option. What price you would pay for that would depend on them. Factors such as how long you have already been with the Vodaphone could come into play there.

    Have been offered the following

    12months deal / Sim only
Passport ( added for free as standard)
    600mins xnet
    unlimited text

    15£ per month,
Note you can get the above deal Right now by going to vodafone site, So much for a retention deal bloody BS'ers.
Also did offer 900 mins xnet for 20£ same as above..

In my eyes that still is not worth it, as i dont want a phone and they are still charging me 15£, I could go with Three and live with the Drop signal from time to time, as posted on the page before this,
